Finished in a distinctive dolphin blue metallic hull with a platinum bootstripe and white superstructure, Netto II is the second hull in the Amels 80 Limited Editions series. She features exterior design by Espen Øino International, custom interiors by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, and naval architecture developed in-house.
From Vlissingen to Open Water
Netto II first entered the water earlier this year at Damen Yachting’s Vlissingen City yard, where she returned quayside for final outfitting. Now, just two months later, the Amels yacht has departed the yard environment and is operating in open water conditions as part of her sea trials program.
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, the yacht was observed departing Vlissingen and proceeding into the North Sea, where she is currently underway under engine. This transition from controlled yard conditions to real-world operation marks a key step in the build timeline, as systems are tested beyond static dockside checks.
Sea trials are where the project comes together as a complete yacht... It is the first time we see how everything performs in real conditions at sea, not as separate elements but as one system. For the team, this phase is about verification, but also about fine-tuning performance in practice."
- Stefan Regtvoort, Project Manager
Damen Yachting has confirmed that Netto II is now being tested against her design parameters in the environment she was built for. These trials take place under controlled conditions but in open sea states, where factors such as wind, swell, and load conditions can be properly assessed.
A Recognizable Profile
Netto II remains visually defined by her dolphin blue metallic hull, accented by a platinum bootstripe and white superstructure. First revealed at launch, this tailored color scheme sets the superyacht apart within the Amels 80 series and highlights the degree of personalization available within the Limited Editions platform.
While the underlying engineering platform is standardized, each yacht in the series carries a distinct identity shaped by owner input and design customization. In Netto II’s case, this is evident not only in her exterior finish but also in her interior layout and detailing.
Inside the Second Amels 80
With a gross tonnage of 2,175 GT, the yacht features a bespoke concept developed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. Among the more distinctive elements is a private speakeasy-style bar, drawing on a 1960s casino aesthetic. Positioned as a separate evening retreat, this space adds a layer of personality beyond the main social areas.
The accommodation layout is designed for up to 14 guests across seven suites, supported by a crew of 20 plus captain. As with other Amels Limited Editions yachts, the configuration balances formal entertaining areas with more private zones, reflecting the owner’s brief while maintaining the efficiencies of a proven platform.
Wellness at the Waterline
Key features of the Amels 80 platform are also present on Netto II. The sun deck includes an oversized Jacuzzi and multiple lounge areas arranged for outdoor living, while the main deck aft is centered around a 6.5-meter glass-bottom swimming pool. This not only serves as a focal point but also channels natural light into the beach club below.
At the waterline, the beach club opens on three sides, creating direct access to the sea and forming the core of a wellness-focused area on board the motor yacht. This space includes a gym, hammam, and sauna, reinforcing a layout that prioritizes connection to the water and extended time on board.
Expanding the Amels Limited Editions Fleet
At 80 meters and around 2,175GT, the Amels 80 sits at the top of Damen Yachting’s Limited Editions lineup, built on a proven semi-custom platform that supports tailored design and layout decisions. Netto II follows the first hull, Pangea, delivered in October 2025, marking the continued rollout of the series after its introduction in 2022.
Alongside the 80, the Amels 60 forms the second pillar of the range, offering a smaller 60-meter platform with a tri-deck layout and around 830GT. Also designed by Espen Øino, the Amels 60 accommodates up to 12 guests across six cabins and features hybrid propulsion, enabling silent electric cruising at low speeds and a transoceanic range of around 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.
Together, the two models give Damen Yachting a clear two-tier approach within the semi-custom segment, with the Amels 80 focused on larger volume and extended onboard amenities, while the Amels 60 delivers a more compact, technically advanced alternative. According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, multiple yachts across both series remain in build or on order, indicating sustained demand for the Limited Editions concept.
