YachtBuyer - Hall of Fame

The YachtBuyer Hall of Fame celebrates the production yachts that reach the very top of YachtBuyer’s independent review program, earning an overall YB 5 Star rating.

It represents YachtBuyer’s highest possible review score, achieved by only a small proportion of the yachts tested each year. Every yacht listed here has been assessed first-hand by the YachtBuyer team, with its final score reflecting the quality of the yacht as a whole.

Each Hall of Fame yacht receives the YB 5 Star Trophy, marking a result earned through YachtBuyer’s own testing and evaluation.

The Independent Review Behind Every YB 5 Star

Entry into the YachtBuyer Hall of Fame comes directly from the YachtBuyer review score. Builders do not submit yachts for consideration; there are no entry fees, and the result is not decided by an external judging panel.

Each yacht is reviewed on the water by our team of experts, with meticulous scoring across five critical categories:

Design & Build Quality
Interior Accommodation
Helm Stations
On Deck Features
Value for Money

The final YB rating is based on how successfully the yacht performs across that full assessment. A strong result in one area is not enough on its own - a YB 5 Star yacht must impress throughout the review.

Why a YB 5 Star Rating Matters

A YB 5 Star rating is deliberately difficult to achieve, with the Hall of Fame representing only a small group of yachts that have delivered an exceptional result through YachtBuyer’s independent review process.

The rating is based on YachtBuyer’s own assessment rather than paid entry, promotional campaigns or industry voting, giving it a clear point of difference from many conventional award schemes.

For buyers, it provides a credible reference point for the yachts that have performed at the highest level during testing. For builders and design teams, the YB 5 Star Trophy recognizes a result earned through detailed independent evaluation.

A Permanent Record of YachtBuyer’s Highest-Rated Yachts

Every Hall of Fame yacht remains part of the YachtBuyer Awards archive, with access to its full review, scoring, photography, video and detailed assessment.

The collection continues to grow as new yachts are reviewed, but entry remains rare. Each new inductee joins a group of models that have earned YachtBuyer’s highest overall rating through first-hand assessment.
