Oceangoing Yachts For Sale

Explore new and used oceangoing yachts for sale worldwide, from long-range explorer yachts to large superyachts. Compare asking prices, specifications, locations and availability across current brokerage listings, stock yachts and new models available to order.

Not every superyacht is built for long ocean passages, and size alone is no guarantee of capability. Buyers should consider the yacht's range, fuel reserves, onboard stores and crew facilities, as well as its condition and maintenance history. The intended route and time away from port will help determine which yacht is the right choice.

Oceangoing Yachts FAQ

We're committed to making yacht buying easier, so if you can't find what you're looking for just ask.

  • Stabilisers aren't essential for every ocean passage, but they can make a considerable difference to comfort on board. By reducing roll, they help guests and crew rest, eat and move around more easily at sea.

When comparing oceangoing yachts for sale, check the type of stabiliser system, its effectiveness at passage speed and its maintenance history. Stabilisers don't eliminate all yacht motion, and they shouldn't be assumed to improve range.

  • Start with the advertised range and the speed at which it was calculated. Fuel consumption can change considerably with speed, weather, sea conditions and onboard power demands, so buyers should check the assumptions behind the figure and allow sufficient reserves.

For a used yacht, fuel consumption records can provide useful evidence of actual performance. Freshwater, food storage and waste capacity also affect how long a yacht can remain at sea without returning to port.

Our YachtBuyer guide to yacht range and autonomy explains what these figures mean for longer passages.
