First 65m Sanlorenzo 65Steel Superyacht Sold

The first Sanlorenzo 65Steel superyacht has been sold, with delivery scheduled for 2028. The new-build project will be constructed by Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo, with Arcon Yachts involved in project management throughout the build process.

Designed with exterior styling by Officina Italiana Design, interiors by Zuccon International Project and naval architecture by Sanlorenzo, the yacht is the first hull in the new Sanlorenzo 65Steel series. The model showcases an evolution of the builder's steel platform, building upon an established design, engineering and onboard volume into a new-generation 65-metre superyacht.

The full interior details of the superyacht have not yet been disclosed, however, the yacht’s 1,300GT internal volume provides the basis for expansive guest areas across a 65-metre platform. The design is expected to build on the generous proportions associated with Sanlorenzo’s steel superyacht range, with accommodation and social areas arranged to support extended cruising and private use. Arcon Yachts will support the client throughout the construction process, overseeing coordination and quality as the yacht progresses towards delivery.

The exterior of the motor yacht has been developed from the design language of Sanlorenzo’s successful 64Steel model. Built with a displacement steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the yacht features an 11.9-metre beam, a 3.5-metre draft and teak decking. Her construction will be carried out in compliance with Lloyd’s Register technical standards, reflecting the scale and engineering requirements of the project. The yacht’s profile follows Sanlorenzo’s contemporary approach to large-yacht design, bringing together clean exterior lines with the volume required for a 1,300GT superyacht.

The yacht will accommodate up to 12 guests in six cabins, providing a layout suited to private cruising with family and guests. The arrangement is supported by accommodation for up to 13 crew members across seven crew cabins, allowing the yacht to operate with a full complement of service and technical staff. This guest and crew configuration reflects the yacht’s long-range superyacht profile, with onboard spaces designed to support comfort, privacy and operational efficiency throughout extended periods at sea.

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar engines driving twin screw propellers, the boat will cruise at 14 knots, with the steel hull and aluminium superstructure supporting the model’s focus on volume, stability and long-range capability rather than high-speed performance.

The first 65Steel was sold with Arcon Yachts at a last known asking price of €80,000,000.
