Presented by YachtBuyer Founder & CEO Kevin Bodington during the 2026 Palm Beach International Boat Show and based on YachtBuyer’s verified sales market data, the awards measure real brokerage performance across the global superyacht fleet. One recognizes the highest total sales value, the other the greatest number of completed transactions. Each reflects a different way of operating at the top of the market.
YachtBuyer Broker of the Year Awards: Recognizing Performance in a People-Driven Industry
The YachtBuyer Broker of the Year Awards 2025 have been created to recognize the individuals driving activity at the center of the global yacht sales market. In an industry where transactions rely heavily on relationships and trust, brokers play a critical role in every deal, yet their performance has historically gone unmeasured at a global level. These awards address that gap, bringing structure and visibility to a profession where results have rarely been quantified.
Brokers are the ones making it happen, often as the industry’s unsung heroes. These awards are about finally recognising that.”

YachtBuyer
Unlike many sectors, yachting has lacked a consistent, data-backed way to evaluate broker performance. In real estate and other high-value asset markets, top-performing agents are routinely ranked and recognized based on measurable outputs. YachtBuyer is applying the same principle to yachting, using verified transaction data to identify those operating at the highest level, both in terms of volume and total deal value.
YachtBuyer founder and CEO Kevin Bodington said the initiative is rooted in more than a decade of building market intelligence and observing how deals are actually completed. “Since 2011, we’ve been building brokerage intelligence tools and compiling over 15 years of real market data. What that shows very clearly is that this is still a people business - and it takes a rare skillset to get these deals done. Brokers are the ones making it happen, often as the industry’s unsung heroes, and these awards are about finally recognising that.”
This is made possible by YachtBuyer MarketWatch, built on more than 15 years of continuous industry tracking. YachtBuyer has developed the most comprehensive and accurate superyacht database in the industry, monitoring all sales from a fleet of over 16,000 yachts above 24 meters. Every listing is verified against build records and cross-checked across multiple sources, removing duplicate and misleading entries to create a clear and reliable view of the market.
This level of verification is central to the awards. In a market where fake or ‘ghost’ listings remain a widespread issue across many platforms, YachtBuyer’s process ensures that only genuine yachts and legitimate transactions are included, resulting in a dataset that reflects real activity rather than inflated inventory or artificial pricing.
By recognising the brokers behind these verified transactions, the awards provide a clear signal to the market - highlighting trusted professionals, reinforcing standards, and supporting a more transparent and reliable marketplace for all participants.
YachtBuyer Broker of the Year 2025 by Sales Volume (24m+)
The YachtBuyer Broker of the Year 2025 by Sales Volume recognizes the individual broker who completed the highest number of verified yacht transactions over 24 meters during the year. The award is based entirely on YachtBuyer MarketWatch data, ensuring that every deal counted reflects a genuine, completed transaction rather than listings or intent to sell. These figures include brokers acting on both sides of the process - representing buyers and sellers - across both new build and pre-owned yacht sales.
This category focuses on consistency and deal flow. While large, high-value sales often attract attention, this award highlights the brokers who are active across the market, managing multiple clients, negotiations, and timelines throughout the year. It reflects the ability to close deals repeatedly, across different yachts, buyers, and conditions.
WINNER: Michel Chryssicopoulos, IYC
The YachtBuyer Broker of the Year 2025 by Sales Volume winner was announced to be Michel Chryssicopoulos, completing 10 verified transactions across yachts over 24 meters - the highest total recorded in the market for 2025. The data places him ahead of a competitive field, with the next closest brokers closing eight deals, underlining a clear lead in overall activity.
What distinguishes this result is the consistency behind it. His transactions are evenly split, with five completed as a buying broker and five as a listing broker, showing balanced involvement across both sides of the deal process. In a market that sees only around 300 motor yacht sales annually, closing 10 deals represents a meaningful share of total global activity, pointing to sustained client demand and the ability to manage multiple transactions concurrently.
This award represents a great recognition for a lot of hard work, perseverance and time away from the family. I'm honored and it is much appreciated!
Global Managing Partner
IYC
The breadth of his activity is reflected in the range of yachts involved, from the 63m Artisan by Benetti to new-build listings such as the 72m No Rush from Admiral. His deals span a wide cross-section of the market, including Feadship’s 45.77m Ancallia and other Custom Line and Sanlorenzo yachts like Quant and Diamare, highlighting consistent engagement across segments and price points. New-build transactions add further complexity, requiring long-term coordination with both client and shipyard from contract through to delivery. The inclusion of projects like No Rush underlines his ability to handle both immediate brokerage deals and longer-term build programs.

YachtBuyer Broker of Year 2025 by Sales Value (24m+)
The YachtBuyer Broker of the Year 2025 by Total Sales Value recognizes the individual broker responsible for generating the highest combined value of verified yacht transactions over 24 meters during the year. Also based entirely on YachtBuyer MarketWatch data, the award reflects real, completed deals across both new build and pre-owned sales, including brokers acting for buyers and sellers.
This category highlights performance at the very top end of the market. Rather than focusing on volume, it measures the ability to secure and close high-value transactions, often involving larger yachts, complex negotiations, and a smaller pool of qualified buyers. It reflects access, trust, and the capacity to operate in the most competitive and capital-intensive segment of global yacht brokerage.
WINNER: Alex Busher, Edmiston
Alexander Busher is named YachtBuyer Broker of the Year 2025 by Total Sales Value, generating an outstanding value of more than €1.15 billion in verified yacht transactions across the year. While his total of seven deals is lower than the volume leader, the scale of those transactions sets him apart, with an average yacht length of 68 meters and an average price of €164.9 million. This places his activity firmly at the very top end of the global brokerage market, where opportunities are fewer, timelines are longer, and competition is more concentrated.
As with any transactions of this scale, much depends on willing buyers and willing sellers — supported by the right personnel teams involved from these two parties along with Edmiston, legal counsel, and not forgetting captains and crew."
Sales Broker
Edmiston
His 2025 performance is defined by two landmark deals. Busher represented the seller in the 115m Ahpo by Lurssen, last known to be asking €340 million, before going on to represent the buyer in the 119m Breakthrough from Feadship, a transaction widely regarded as one of the most significant brokerage deals ever completed. Taken together, these two yachts account for a substantial portion of his total value and reflect a rare level of continuity, guiding the same client from one major acquisition into another at the very highest level of the market.
Beyond these headline transactions, his activity also includes a mix of large brokerage deals and joint listings, from the 55.5 metre (182ft) Moon Sand (now Shenoa) from Lürssen, to the 56.4m sailing yacht Salvaje (now Folie) by Alloy Yachts. However, it is the concentration of value at the very top of the fleet that defines his year. In a segment where only a small number of deals take place globally each year, Busher’s results underline access, trust, and the ability to execute at a scale few brokers reach.
