The model was first previewed by YachtBuyer at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival, where Sanlorenzo announced nine upcoming yachts during a press conference led by Chairman and majority shareholder Massimo Perotti. At the time, the SL80A was presented as the next step in the yard’s asymmetric flybridge family, positioned below the SL86A and SL90A.
Now revealed in full, the SL80A measures 23.97m according to Sanlorenzo’s official specifications, with a 6m beam, accommodation for eight guests and crew quarters for three. Wider reports place the yacht at 24.3m overall, with a shallow 1.9m draft intended to support cruising close to shore, around bays and along more restricted coastlines.
A Smaller SL With a Familiar Architectural Idea
The SL80A has been described by Sanlorenzo as the “First Icon” of the range, intended to condense more than four decades of SL design into a smaller platform without stepping away from the series’ core identity.
Zuccon International Project is responsible for both the exterior design and interior layout, continuing a long-standing partnership with Sanlorenzo across the Sanlorenzo SL line. The profile follows the familiar language of the range, with clean architectural lines, controlled proportions and a strong link between the hull and superstructure.
SL80A represents the essence of our philosophy. It is a synthesis of decades of experiencepreview, where space, comfort and design are concentrated into a yacht that remains unmistakablypreview Sanlorenzo.”

The flybridge remains a key part of the design, but it has been kept visually light to avoid overwhelming the yacht’s compact proportions. The result is a recognizable SL silhouette, now applied to a size bracket aimed at owners seeking the brand’s flybridge experience in a more manageable package.
Inside Sanlorenzo's Signature Asymmetric Layout
At the heart of the SL80A is Sanlorenzo's asymmetric architecture, a concept first introduced by the shipyard in 2018. By relocating the side deck to starboard, the design increases usable interior volume on the port side, with Sanlorenzo claiming a gain in onboard livability of up to 20 percent.
The arrangement gives the main deck a broader feel while strengthening the connection between interior and exterior spaces. Full-height glazing draws natural light deep into the flybridge yacht and maintains uninterrupted sea views, while a mezzanine-level helm preserves visibility without sacrificing living space. The saloon benefits particularly from the layout, taking on a more open and architectural character than is typical for a yacht of this size.
The interior follows a warm, contemporary design direction centered around Thai walnut, selected to complement the exterior teak decks. Bespoke "Azteca" parquet by Cadorin introduces a geometric motif that reappears across flooring, wall panels and headboards, creating visual continuity throughout the yacht. A folded, micro-perforated metal staircase links the saloon and flybridge, adding a distinctive architectural feature. Accommodation is arranged for eight guests across four cabins, including a full-beam owner's suite.
A Compact Flybridge Yacht With Flexible Deck Spaces
The aft cockpit opens directly toward the water, creating a clear connection between the main deck and the sea. Forward, the bow lounge can shift between sunbathing and dining use, giving the motor yacht an additional outdoor social area beyond the flybridge and cockpit.
The yacht’s official specifications list twin MAN 12V 1800 engines, each rated at 1,800hp. Sanlorenzo gives a maximum speed of 29 knots, with fuel capacity of 5,350 liters and fresh water capacity of 1,400 liters.
Sanlorenzo has already sold nine SL80A units, with the first three hulls currently under construction and delivery of hull one scheduled for 2027. First previewed by YachtBuyer during the shipyard's 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival presentation, the SL80A was conceived as a more compact interpretation of Sanlorenzo's asymmetric flybridge philosophy, carrying the design language and spatial concepts of the larger SL models into a 24m platform.
SL80A Joins a Broad Sanlorenzo Build Pipeline
