The 19m vessel introduces the yard’s established design and engineering approach to more compact, production-focused multihulls, with a second hull already sold and under construction.
Expanding Into the Sub-24m Category
The VisionF 65 signals a clear shift in direction for the builder, which has built its reputation on larger 24-meter-plus aluminum and electric catamarans. By moving into the sub-24-meter category, the yard is targeting a wider audience while retaining the core characteristics seen in its larger projects.
Built in GRP composite rather than aluminum, the new model is positioned as a semi-custom production yacht. Owners can tailor layout and finishes, while the underlying platform remains consistent and optimized for real-world use.
At 8.94 meters in beam, the catamaran configuration plays a central role in shaping the onboard experience. The wide footprint supports strong stability and creates interior volumes that exceed typical expectations for motor yachts in the 60-70ft range. A shallow draft of 1.45 meters further expands cruising flexibility, particularly in coastal regions.
Designing Around Volume and Visibility
The design centers on maximizing usable space across both interior and exterior areas, with a clear focus on open-plan living.
The flybridge stands out as the defining feature of the yacht. At approximately 60 square meters, it is unusually large for this size category and functions as the primary social area on board. The space is intended for dining, lounging, and entertaining, effectively acting as a second main deck in terms of usability.
Below, the main deck saloon spans around 50 square meters and forms the core interior living space. The layout integrates the saloon, dining area, and galley into a single open environment, with large glazed surfaces bringing in natural light and maintaining clear sightlines throughout.
Adaptable Layouts for Different Owners
The VisionF 65 is designed to adapt to different ownership profiles, with multiple layout options available. Configurations include either a 4+2 or 5+2 cabin arrangement, accommodating up to eight guests alongside crew quarters for three. The layouts typically feature a dedicated owner’s cabin, a VIP suite, and additional guest cabins, each with en-suite bathrooms.
Cabin arrangements can be specified with either double or twin beds, giving the yacht flexibility for private cruising or charter operations. The wide beam of the catamaran platform also supports larger cabin volumes, particularly in the owner’s suite, which benefits from the additional width across the hulls.
Diesel-Electric System Supported by Solar
Power comes from twin Volvo Penta D8-450 diesel engines, supported by an integrated onboard energy system designed to reduce generator reliance and improve efficiency.
The yacht is equipped with a 20 kW generator, alongside a battery capacity totaling 123.2 kWh, split between a 100.8 kWh 48V system and a 22.4 kWh 24V system. A 30 kVA inverter supports onboard electrical loads.
A key element of the system is the installation of 42 solar panels, capable of generating up to 16.8 kW under optimal conditions. These feed into an advanced energy management system using MPPT charge controllers, which monitor consumption and optimize energy distribution in real time. In practical terms, the setup allows onboard systems to operate for extended periods without relying on the generator, particularly at anchor. This results in reduced noise, lower fuel consumption, and a more stable onboard environment.
Bridging the Gap in the VisionF Range
According to YachtBuyer MarketWatch, the largest yacht database in the world, the VisionF 65 now sits between two distinctly different models in the builder’s lineup, bridging the gap between performance-focused craft and larger cruising catamarans. At the entry level, the VisionF Superfast 46 is built around speed, with a lightweight carbon fiber structure and twin Mercury Racing V8 450R engines capable of reaching up to 80 knots. Its planing hull and compact layout place it firmly in the day boat category.
At the other end of the range, the VisionF 80 NG shifts the focus toward longer passages and onboard comfort. Measuring 23.8 meters, it accommodates up to eight guests across four cabins and operates at more moderate cruising speeds.
With delivery approaching and early sales confirmed, the VisionF 65 enters the market as a well-timed addition in a segment focused on space, efficiency, and flexible cruising.
