Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.4m beam and a 3.4m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 1,008 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2007 with the keel laid under the project name 'Sofia'. Launched in May 2011 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2011.
Exterior Design
Vision is a 60m Benetti motor yacht built in steel and aluminium, with exterior styling by Stefano Natucci. The yacht has a dark blue hull in the current finish, paired with a white superstructure and long swept window bands that soften the height of the profile.
From the side, Vision has the classic Benetti custom look, but the glazing keeps it lighter than the volume might suggest. The bow is long and clean, with high bulwarks and a broad foredeck, while the aft sections step back through several outdoor levels. Large windows run along the main and upper decks, and the dark glazing wraps into the superstructure to link the decks visually.
The sundeck on Vision is arranged as the main outdoor leisure space. It combines a jacuzzi, bar, gym area and open lounging zones, while the aft section is reinforced for touch-and-go helicopter operations. Below, the upper deck aft provides a sheltered lounge and dining space, and the main deck aft offers a more enclosed setting for quieter meals or drinks.
At sea level, the Vision yacht includes a beach club with a large transom platform and direct connection to the toy and dive setup. The layout keeps the water access practical, while still giving the yacht a proper waterside guest area.
Interior Design
The interior of Benetti Vision was designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon and combines formal detailing with a warmer, residential feel. The photo of the main saloon shows this clearly: dark gloss timber frames the room, while lighter carpets, cream seating and illuminated shelving keep the space from feeling heavy.
Across the yacht, the material palette includes Macassar ebony, Tanganyika frisé and mahogany flooring, with dark marble in the foyers and columns detailed with lit plexiglass. The look is polished, but not cold.
The main saloon on Vision is laid out as a broad entertaining room with lounge seating forward and a dining area beyond. In the photo, the saloon reads as symmetrical and formal, but the soft furnishings and low seating stop it from becoming too stiff. Farther up, the upper salon shifts to a slightly more relaxed tone, with sycamore joinery and a black stone bar acting as the focal point.
The central lobby has been structurally prepared for a future elevator, although one is not currently fitted. That keeps the layout flexible without altering the original arrangement.
Accommodation
The Vision superyacht accommodates 12 guests in six cabins.
The standout cabin is the main deck master suite, which is full beam and arranged as a private apartment. It includes a private office, lounge area, dual walk-in wardrobes and separate his-and-hers bathrooms. Additional owner spaces include a private study and a skylit observatory element within the suite arrangement, giving the cabin more depth than a standard single-room layout.
A VIP cabin sits on the upper deck beside the skylounge and can also convert into a massage or spa room.
The remaining guest accommodation is on the lower deck, where Vision has two double cabins and two twin cabins, each with Pullman berths and ensuite bathrooms. These cabins are placed forward of the engine room for better sound insulation.
Crew accommodation is arranged for 15 crew, including the captain’s cabin aft of the bridge and multiple crew cabins forward.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M60) 12-cylinder 1,770hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht Vision is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 130,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Vision also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
