Design & Construction
Designed around a deep vee kevlar composite hull and a GRP superstructure she features a 6.6m beam and a 1.8m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 127 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
Hummingbird carries the low, purposeful profile typical of Couach performance yachts, with long flowing lines that run from the raked bow to the wide swim platform aft. The hull sides remain relatively clean, broken mainly by horizontal glazing bands and subtle ventilation detailing that emphasises the yacht’s length.
The main deck aft forms the primary outdoor lounge and dining area, with seating arranged around a table for alfresco meals. Steps lead down from this area to the swim platform, which also serves as the storage position for the yacht’s tender when underway.
Above, the flybridge acts as the main open-air social space. This deck includes a large sunpad aft and an outdoor dining area shaded by a removable awning, alongside a barbecue and helm position forward.
The foredeck provides an additional lounging space with sunpads and seating arranged around the Portuguese bridge, creating a quieter area for guests while underway or at anchor.
Interior Design
The interior of Hummingbird follows a bright, contemporary style developed by Danièle Chopard, with light wood joinery and cream leather furnishings creating a warm but restrained atmosphere.
Large windows run along both sides of the main salon, bringing daylight deep into the interior and maintaining constant views of the surrounding water. The seating area is arranged around an L-shaped sofa and coffee table, with additional armchairs forming a relaxed conversation area. Built-in cabinetry and shelving are integrated into the bulkheads, while soft indirect lighting beneath the furniture creates a subtle floating effect that adds depth to the space.
Forward of the salon sits the formal dining area, which can seat all guests. The dining table is designed with a folding mechanism so the room can be opened up for alternative use when required.
The layout connects the salon and dining areas within a single flowing main deck arrangement while maintaining clear zones for lounging and dining.
Accommodation
Hummingbird accommodates up to 8 guests in four cabins, all located on the lower deck.
The full-beam owner’s suite sits amidships and benefits from large picture windows on either side, along with a seating area and ensuite bathroom with separate facilities.
Additional accommodation includes a double cabin, a twin cabin and a single cabin with an additional berth, allowing flexible guest arrangements.
Crew accommodation supports up to four crew members, including the captain.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V2000 M93) 2,450hp engines running at 2450rpm, motor yacht Hummingbird is capable of reaching a top speed of 32 knots, and comfortably cruises at 25 knots. With her 20,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 800 nautical miles at 25 knots.
