Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.3m beam and a 1.85m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 195 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the fifth yacht built on the Couach 3700 FLY design.
Exterior Design
Ascension is a Couach 3700 FLY with a 37m (121ft) fast flybridge profile built around speed, outdoor living and long, clean glazing. The yacht was built in glass-Kevlar composite, a construction choice that supports the planing hull performance while keeping the structure strong and light for her size.
Her profile is low and stretched, with a sharp bow, long foredeck and swept superstructure that runs aft into a large flybridge. The black window band along the main deck gives the yacht a strong horizontal line, while the pale hull and turquoise bootstripe add a softer, more Mediterranean feel.
The photo shows a foredeck arranged as a proper sun zone, with tiered turquoise cushions running down the forward coachroof and more sunpads set ahead of the windscreen. The bow itself remains practical, with anchor gear and working space forward, but the guest area starts close behind it, making good use of the yacht’s length.
The flybridge is a major part of the design. It has an integrated hardtop with large glazed roof panels, a forward helm, seating, dining space and a wet bar setup. Aft on the flybridge, loose loungers and sunpads create a more relaxed open deck, while the hardtop gives shade to the central area without making the yacht look top-heavy.
Aft, Ascension has a good sized cockpit with dining for up to 10 guests, protected by the flybridge overhang. The stern includes a swim platform and tender garage, keeping the aft profile clean while still supporting water access and toy storage.
Accommodation
Ascension offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin and 4 double cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 6 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V4000 M90) 2,735hp engines, motor yacht Ascension is capable of reaching a top speed of 18 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 17,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 440 nautical miles at 24 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Ascension also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
