Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.3m beam and a 2.4m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 197 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the sixth yacht built on the Couach 3700 FLY design. Launched in February 2011 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Arion's bow is raked and slightly flared, while the superstructure carries long, dark glazing that runs almost unbroken along the upper deck. This gives the yacht a low, stretched look and ties the decks together visually. The hull is finished in white with a black boot stripe, which keeps the lines clean and sharp under way.
Deck spaces are arranged with clear intent. The aft main deck holds a shaded dining area for up to 10 guests, set close to the saloon for easy service. Side decks lead forward to a foredeck lounge with sunpads, which sits low and protected behind the bulwarks.
Above, the flybridge forms the main outdoor hub. A fixed hardtop with skylights filters light into the space, while a wet bar, grill, fridge and ice maker support long afternoons outside. Seating runs along the sides with a dining setup amidships, and the aft section opens into a broad sunbathing area with loose loungers and pads.
At water level, a hydraulic platform links directly to the sea and the tender garage. The setup supports a Williams 505 jet tender and a Yamaha PWC, with additional space for water toys, so the stern works as both launch point and swim area.
Interior Design
Ken Freivokh’s interior uses a restrained mix of cherry and wenge woods, paired with neutral fabrics and marble detailing. The tone stays warm but not heavy, and large side windows bring in steady light across the main deck.
The main saloon is laid out in an open plan. A lounge area sits aft with a large sofa and armchairs arranged around a central table, while the dining space forward centres on a custom wenge table sized for up to 10 guests. The transition between the two areas is direct, so the space works equally well for quiet use or larger groups.
Material contrast carries the design. Dark wood surfaces sit against lighter flooring and soft furnishings, while reflective finishes and mirrors add depth without crowding the room. Entertainment systems are integrated into cabinetry, which keeps the space clean.
Accommodation
Arion accommodates up to 9 guests across four cabins, with a layout that mixes volume and flexibility.
The owner’s suite sits on the lower deck and spans the full beam. It includes a large double bed, a lounge area and an ensuite bathroom, with enough floor space to separate sleeping and seating zones.
A VIP cabin is positioned on the main deck, which gives direct access to the main living areas and benefits from larger windows. A second full-beam VIP sits aft on the lower deck, with a similar layout to the master in terms of space and seating.
The fourth cabin is a twin with a Pullman berth, which allows three guests when needed. All guest cabins have ensuite bathrooms.
Crew accommodation is arranged for six across three cabins, with separate access that supports service without crossing guest areas.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M90) 2,730hp engines, motor yacht Arion is capable of reaching a top speed of 26 knots, and comfortably cruises at 22 knots. With her 22,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,000 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
