The 28.72m open yacht Des Amis C was delivered to her owners in 2013 by Italian shipyard Mangusta. She features exterior design by Stefano Righini and interior styling by Peter Marino.

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing composite hull and superstructure she features a 6.6m beam and a 1.6m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 135 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the second yacht built on the Mangusta 94 design. Launched in May 2013 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Des Amis C is a 28.72m (94ft) Mangusta 94 built by Overmarine in 2013. The yacht carries the unmistakable low, aggressive profile that defined Mangusta’s open performance yachts during this period, with long glazing strips, a shallow superstructure and a fast planing stance that looks quick even at anchor.

The profile stays extremely low from bow to stern. A sharply raked windscreen blends directly into the coachroof while the black glazing band stretches almost uninterrupted along the hull side, visually lengthening the yacht. The side windows taper rearward into angular shapes that reinforce the sporty look without adding unnecessary detailing.

From above, the foredeck arrangement becomes one of the yacht’s strongest exterior features. The entire bow is turned into a social space with oversized sunpads positioned low into the deck and twin raised dinette areas ahead of the windscreen. This split-level arrangement gives the bow more flexibility than a single flat lounging pad and makes good use of the yacht’s broad beam.

The flybridge keeps a very compact footprint to preserve the yacht’s sleek silhouette. Rather than a large enclosed upper structure, it works as an open observation and sunbathing area with additional loungers positioned between the radar arches.

Aft, the cockpit is arranged around a large central sunpad with a shaded seating and dining area tucked beneath the overhang. Twin staircases descend cleanly to the swim platform while the teak decking runs continuously through the entire aft section, visually widening the space.

Interior Design

The interior contrasts heavily with the sharp exterior profile. Dark wenge-style flooring and cabinetry frame a much softer arrangement of pale upholstery, cream headlining panels and curved architectural detailing.

The salon uses flowing shapes throughout rather than hard edges. Window openings are rounded and organic while the ceiling panels curve inward around recessed lighting and skylight sections. The effect feels softer and more residential than the aggressive exterior suggests.

Large side windows bring natural light deep into the main salon and also create strong sightlines outward from the seating areas. The low furniture layout helps preserve those views while keeping the room visually open.

The main seating area centres around a large cream sectional sofa with matching ottomans, positioned opposite dark cabinetry and entertainment units. Toward the aft section, a compact dining area sits beside the sliding cockpit doors, allowing the salon and aft deck to work together as one continuous social space.

Accommodation

Des Amis C offers accommodation for up to 6 guests in 3 suites comprising an owners cabin and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 4 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V2000 M94) 2,600hp engines, motor yacht Des Amis C is capable of reaching a top speed of 34 knots, and comfortably cruises at 28 knots. With her 8,800 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 260 nautical miles at 28 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
