The 54m open yacht Nana III was delivered to her owners in 2026 by Italian shipyard Mangusta. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Alberto Mancini, while Mangusta is responsible for her naval architecture.

Key Features

  • 4,200nm range
  • Opening beach club
  • 29-knot top speed
  • Dedicated wellness room

Design & Construction

Designed around a fast displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 9.01m beam and a 2.3m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the fourth yacht built on the GranSport 54 design. Launched in March 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Nana III is the fourth Mangusta GranSport 54, and the profile is pure fast cruiser. The bow is long and quite full, the sheer runs almost dead straight aft, and the dark glazing does a lot to break up what is otherwise a fairly deep aluminium hull.

Alberto Mancini kept the superstructure low and stretched, with the upper deck pushed forward enough to leave a good amount of open space aft. From the side, the yacht has a slightly muscular look rather than anything delicate, which suits a boat with four MTUs and a 29-knot top speed.

The beach club is one of the most popular areas. At anchor, the transom opens and the side sections fold down to create a much wider terrace at water level. That gives the stern a completely different feel once everything is deployed, and on a yacht this quick it is a nice contrast to have such a big, relaxed space right by the sea.

Forward, the GranSport 54 also carries a sizeable guest area around the pool. The model was designed with a lot of glass through the main and upper decks, and the long window bands in the hull help bring light into the lower accommodation too.

The yacht is built in aluminium and uses Mangusta's fast-displacement hull form, developed with Pierluigi Ausonio and Overmarine's engineering team. That is what allows Nana III to sit somewhere between a long-range displacement yacht and the quicker Mangustas the yard built its name around.

YachtBuyer has also been aboard a sistership in the series, and our Mangusta GranSport 54 review gives a closer look at the model’s deck layout, engineering and performance on board.

Interior Design

Nana III's interior is where this particular owner's brief starts to matter.

The yacht was commissioned by a repeat Mangusta owner who worked closely with the yard on the layout, and instead of taking the standard cabin count, they gave up one guest cabin to create a proper wellness area for massages and spa treatments.

That tells you more about the way Nana III is meant to be used than another line about finishes ever could. The owner has chosen fewer cabins and a more relaxed onboard setup, which makes sense on a yacht designed for long trips rather than simply carrying the maximum number of guests.

The GranSport 54's long glazed surfaces bring a lot of daylight into the main saloon and lower-deck spaces, while the high ceilings and broad beam give the interior more room than the low profile suggests from outside.

Accommodation

Nana III offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin, 2 double cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Motor yacht Nana III is powered by four MTU 16V 2000 M96L diesels producing 2,600hp each, for around 10,400hp in total.

Top speed is about 29 knots, which is quick for a 54m (177.2ft) yacht, but the GranSport brief is not only about speed. At 12 knots, the range stretches to around 4,200 nautical miles, so Nana III can still handle long passages without giving up the quicker cruising side of the boat.

The hull is aluminium and uses Mangusta's fast-displacement setup, while zero-speed and underway stabilisation is part of the wider model specification. Humphree interceptors handle trim, and the four-engine layout also gives a degree of redundancy if one unit is unavailable.

The 2.3m (7.5ft) draft is another useful detail. For a yacht of this length and performance, it keeps Nana III workable in shallower cruising grounds that would be more awkward for a deeper full-displacement yacht.
