Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11.6m beam and a 3.35m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 1,268 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2019. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in January 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2024.
Exterior Design
Asia features a composed, full-displacement profile developed by Diana Yacht Design and Royal Hakvoort Shipyard, with exterior styling shaped to balance interior volume, safety requirements, and long-range capability. The bow is raked, leading into a clean foredeck with recessed anchoring hardware that keeps the profile uncluttered. High bulwarks were specified by the owners for safety, with a grey cap applied along the upper edge to visually reduce height and refine the silhouette.
Extensive glazing defines the yacht’s exterior. Around 220 sqm (2,360 sqft) of glass are integrated into the superstructure, bringing strong natural light into the interior while requiring careful modelling to avoid visual heaviness. The curvature of the side lines was refined through multiple iterations, with particular attention paid to the way the decks taper aft.
Aft exterior spaces are arranged across multiple levels. The bridge deck includes an open-air lounge aft, separated from the gym by sliding glass doors. Above, the sundeck provides generous open space with a glass-sided spa pool holding approximately 6,600 litres of water, heated via a regenerative heat system. A second Jacuzzi is located forward, adjacent to a private outdoor breakfast and lounge area linked to the owner’s suite.
The lower aft section houses a recessed beach club with opening terraces to port and starboard, positioned close to the waterline. The main deck also incorporates wide side decks, supporting easy circulation and clear sightlines along the yacht’s length.
Interior Design
Asia’s interior was designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design and reflects a balance between restraint and personality, shaped closely around the owners’ preferences. Colour plays an active role throughout, with bold but controlled use of pinks, greens, blues, and warm tones across soft furnishings, tiles, and accents. These are set against darker ziricote wood and lighter materials to maintain visual balance.
The interior layout is organised around a central staircase, supported by a lift connecting all decks. The stairwell itself forms a focal point, with a vertical installation of glass globes rising through the core of the yacht, created by Preciosa and stabilised with concealed structural rods.
Large windows line the main and upper decks, bringing daylight deep into the yacht. Integrated lighting is concealed within mullions, ceilings, and architectural details to avoid visual clutter. Both the main saloon and the owner’s deck saloon include bars and flexible seating arrangements suited to relaxed social use.
The bridge deck gym sits aft with panoramic views and is equipped with TechnoGym machines and free weights. Sliding glass doors allow the space to be opened or enclosed as required. Materials and finishes are carried consistently between interior and exterior spaces to support a fluid transition between zones.
Entertainment features include multiple discreetly integrated screens and a karaoke setup located in the beach club.
Accommodation
Asia accommodates up to 12 guests across six ensuite staterooms, arranged to prioritise space, light, and access to shared amenities.
The main owner’s suite is located on the owner’s deck, positioned forward with panoramic views and direct access to a private foredeck terrace. This area also connects to a forward Jacuzzi and outdoor dining and lounge space. The suite includes a private sky lounge, office, twin en suites, and generous storage. A dedicated hair salon forms part of the owner’s suite arrangement.
A second large owner-level suite is located on the main deck, complete with a private lounge and a walkaround en suite featuring a rainfall shower and bathtub. Forward on the main deck, a full VIP suite includes a private saloon and an en suite of comparable scale and finish.
Four further guest cabins are arranged on the lower deck, all with en suite bathrooms and direct access to the beach club, an unusual feature for a yacht of this size. An additional staff cabin is also located on the main deck.
Crew accommodation supports up to 18 crew, with eight cabins and a crew mess on the lower deck, plus a dedicated captain’s cabin on the bridge deck. Separate crew circulation allows efficient operation without crossing guest areas.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel-electric Caterpillar (3512E) 1,810hp engines running at 1600rpm, motor yacht Asia is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 130,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,800 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
