Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.4m beam and a 3.4m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 853 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the eighth yacht built on the Amels 60 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in July 2025 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in February 2026.

Exterior Design

The exterior design follows the distinctive language of the Amels 60 series, developed by Espen Øino, and combines crisp geometry with strong horizontal lines.

One of the defining visual elements is the trapezoid window pattern on the main deck. These angled glazing panels break away from conventional rectangular openings and create a sequence of faceted shapes along the hull. The geometry mirrors subtle angles in the superstructure and deck overhangs, giving the profile a precise architectural rhythm.

Above, the bridge deck glazing forms a continuous dark band, visually lightening the upper structure and balancing the stronger geometry below. This shift from sharp faceting to smooth horizontal flow gives the yacht a layered, structured appearance across the three-deck profile.

The yacht carries a black hull with contrasting white superstructure, a combination that highlights the sculpted lines of the design. Beneath the waterline, a pronounced bulbous bow supports the displacement hull form and improves efficiency during longer passages.

Outdoor living areas play a large role in the design. The sun deck is arranged as a primary social space, equipped with a large spa tub, seating areas, an outdoor cinema, and a semi-enclosed gym that allows guests to exercise while still enjoying the open deck environment.

At water level, the beach club provides a spacious relaxation and wellness area close to the sea, while the main deck owner’s suite includes a fold-down balcony that extends the cabin directly over the water.

Interior Design

The interior of Alva was designed by Harrison Eidsgaard, marking the studio’s second collaboration on the Amels 60 platform.

The concept focuses on a calm, contemporary interior with a residential feel, shaped by natural materials, soft tones and strong connections to the surrounding sea. Large windows throughout the yacht introduce daylight into the interior spaces, while open circulation between interior rooms and exterior decks strengthens the sense of indoor-outdoor living.

Across the main social spaces the design uses clean architectural lines and understated detailing, creating an atmosphere that feels relaxed but carefully structured. The styling avoids heavy ornamentation, instead relying on balanced proportions, layered textures and natural light to define the rooms.

The interior layout also supports both private cruising and charter operation. Lounge spaces connect naturally to the exterior decks, and entertainment areas are distributed across several levels so that guests can move easily between social zones.

Accommodation

Alva offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck, 1 VIP cabin, 2 double cabins and 2 cabins that can operate as twins or doubles. She is also capable of carrying up to 13 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel-electric MTU (12V 2000 M72) engines, motor yacht Alva is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 122,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,500 nautical miles at 13 knots.
