Accommodation

For most people, superyachts start at 30m, but you will do well to find a 30m yacht interior better than this. It is comparatively complex in design but wonderfully easy to experience, oozing big boat sophistication.

The Azimut’s salon is on one level with the lounge aft and the dining table forward, the galley is discreetly hidden away superyacht style. Huge sections of floor to ceiling glass flank the salon, with doors to the side and aft decks creating the all-important inside-outside flow of social space.

Spectacular windows are taken to another level in the main deck Owner’s suite, with two massive glass sections that actually push outboard for added wow factor. A private lounge is set by one window, creating a superb viewpoint.

The design of the 27 Grand Metri also creates a raised, professional-feeling pilothouse-style helm station. Accessed by a small stairwell, it is where the Captain will pilot from on longer journeys, with space for guests to gather.

To the aft of the yacht, the crew quarters lays on three berths, including a small double, and toilet facilities.

On Deck

The Azimut decks are somewhat more straightforward than its interior, but no less impressive for it. The main deck aft is for dining, with a small wet bar to keep the cold drinks flowing. At the transom there is a neat tender garage, giving easy launch and recovery via a hydraulic swim platform.

To reach the foredeck lounge you must climb steps to take you up and over the main deck Owner’s cabin. Once arrived, you will find a wonderfully elevated lounge with seating and sun pads, optional shades making the area feel more established and private.

The flybridge is a real upper deck, its size and specification including a lounge and dining area with a huge bar and barbecue area serving guests. This is a place to spend days and nights, the hardtop and sunroof (a must-have option) creating a real sense of place and privacy.

Amenities & Tenders

The 27 Grand Metri works in a tender garage at the stern, keeping decks clear. A hydraulic platform makes launch and recovery very easy.

Performance & Capabilities

The 27 Grande Metri has a planing hull with speeds close to 30knots possible, but smooth cruising in the mid 20s is of far more importance and relevance. Power comes from twin MAN V12-1900hp engines.

Designed by the skilled hand of Stefano Righini, this unique concept wide body 27 Metri megayacht creates perfect harmony between flowing lines and unparalleled volumes for the segment. The use of carbon fiber made it possible to offer a unique layout with up to 5 cabins and the owner’s suite on maindeck. The vertical bow and the big full-height windows, which rise from the hull and extend up into the superstructure, give the boat a sporty, edgy character and are its signature features. The Azimut 27 makes use of its big volumes to offer the owner and guests extraordinarily generous spaces for socialising and privacy.

The furnishings proposed by Achille Salvagni for the Grande 27 Metri are unique items, designed and made to measure by expert craftsmen. Alternatively, the owner can opt for the architect’s own personal selection of design pieces that express Made in Italy excellence. The exteriors furniture are also designed by Salvagni, achieving a harmonious continuity of style, colours and materials that characterises the entire yacht.

The full beam owner’s cabin has big windows that flood the spaces with light, while a full beam bathroom and a dressing room complete the setting.

The spectacular lounge area in the bow can be thought of as a big sea terrace, offering an area for socialising and a sun lounging area next to it.

Sinuous lines and forms enhance contrasting colours and textures, with a skilful contamination of woods to give the spaces in the Grande 27 Metri a uniquely contemporary feel.
