Sacs Tecnorib Reveals Pirelli Tender X460 With Styling Rooted in Racing Technology

Sacs Tecnorib has officially launched the Pirelli Tender X460 tender, following its preview at the boot Düsseldorf Boat Show earlier this year.

The Tecnorib model joins the existing X Line range - which includes the X350, X400, and X430 - and continues the design direction established by Christian Grande.

Positioned as a tender for yachts over 25 meters, the X460 is developed as a support vessel with a focus on usability, onboard comfort, and clear visual identity tied to the wider Pirelli brand.

Clean Lines With Motorsport Influence

A key part of the X460’s identity lies in its visual connection to Pirelli’s motorsport presence. One of the most distinctive elements is the rubber detailing along the tube, which mirrors the tread pattern of the CINTURATO Blue Full Wet tire - used in top-level racing series where Pirelli serves as a sole supplier. This reference is subtle but deliberate, reinforcing the link between the tender and the brand’s performance heritage.

The broader design language follows the same approach seen across the X Line range, with clean, taut surfaces and minimal visual clutter. The result is a dayboat that aligns closely with the styling of modern superyachts while maintaining a clear brand identity.

Optimized Circulation and Seating

The X460 has been shaped around straightforward movement and usability, with a layout that supports both guest transfer and short leisure use.

A wide bow area features wraparound seating with contoured cushioning integrated into the tube structure, creating a secure and comfortable space for passengers while underway or at anchor. The addition of a side walkway improves circulation between bow and stern, addressing a common limitation in compact boat layouts.

At the stern, the beach area is arranged for informal use, with a built-in footrest that supports relaxed seating. The backrest can be folded down to convert the aft section into a sunpad, adding flexibility without increasing the footprint of the boat. The layout accommodates up to seven passengers, placing the X460 within the typical capacity range for tenders serving mid-size and larger superyachts.

Built Around Superyacht Handling Needs

One of the defining considerations for any yacht tender is how easily it can be stored and deployed, and the X460 addresses this with several practical features.

The windshield is designed to fold down, reducing overall height and allowing the tender to fit more easily within a superyacht garage. This is paired with a clean deck arrangement that avoids unnecessary obstructions, supporting both crew handling and guest movement.

The proportions of the tender have also been kept balanced, ensuring it remains manageable during launch and recovery operations while still delivering enough internal space for guest comfort.

Jet Drive Propulsion for Control and Safety

Power comes from a 170-horsepower BRP Rotax jet drive system, a setup commonly used in tenders where shallow draft, safety, and maneuverability are priorities.

The jet propulsion system removes the need for exposed propellers, reducing risk during close-quarters maneuvering and improving suitability for beach landings. It also supports responsive handling, which is essential for a tender operating around larger yachts in confined marina environments.

While outright speed figures have not been disclosed, the configuration is positioned to deliver quick acceleration and controlled handling, in line with the expectations for a high-end superyacht tender.

Completing the X Line Range

Alongside the new X460, the wider Pirelli X Line range continues to cover a clear spread of tender sizes for different yacht requirements. The entry-level Pirelli X350 measures 3.44 meters and is designed as a compact, garage-friendly option with seating for up to five guests. Moving up, the Pirelli X400 extends to 3.9 meters, increasing capacity to six passengers while maintaining a similar footprint suited to tighter storage constraints.

At the upper end of the existing range, the Pirelli X430 reaches 4.29 meters and accommodates up to seven guests, with a wider beam and increased fuel capacity to support longer transfers. All three models are built on GRP planing hulls and prioritize straightforward handling, practical deck layouts, and compatibility with yacht garage dimensions.

With the X460, Sacs Tecnorib continues to develop a tender range that addresses a specific segment of the market - support vessels for yachts above 25 meters that need to balance compact dimensions with usable onboard space.
