New 35m Fountaine Pajot FPY120 Catamaran Unveiled at 2026 PBIBS

Fraser and Fountaine Pajot Yachts have introduced a new 35-meter motor yacht catamaran, the Fountaine Pajot FPY120, marking a further step into the large yacht segment for the French builder.

Unveiled at the Palm Beach International Boat Show 2026, the new model builds on the recently launched Fountaine Pajot Yachts division, with brokerage support from Fraser.

A Clear Step Into the 30m-Plus Yacht Segment

The FPY120 arrives less than a year after Fountaine Pajot introduced its Yachts division at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025, a move aimed at expanding beyond its established sailing and power catamaran range into larger, more complex builds. At 35 meters in length overall with a 14.8-meter beam, the new model sits at the center of that shift, positioning the yard within a more competitive segment of the market.

Backed by Fraser as a global sales partner, the project reflects a broader effort to align design, brokerage, and client customization under a single framework. The FPY120 is intended to serve as a flagship concept within this direction, setting the tone for future models under the Yachts banner.

Rethinking Space Across Three Levels

Designed by Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design, the FPY120 is structured across three decks, with a clear emphasis on how spaces connect rather than simply how much space is available. The design of the catamaran moves away from a volume-first approach, instead focusing on circulation, sightlines, and the relationship between interior and exterior areas.

Living spaces are arranged to open outward, creating direct links to deck areas, while private zones are positioned further inboard to maintain separation and privacy. This balance between openness and retreat is central to the layout.

According to Fraser CEO Anders Kurtén, the project is built around a measured approach to onboard living. He noted that the quality of the experience is shaped by how spaces are organized and how easily guests can move between them.

A Residential Approach to Interiors

Onboard, the FPY120 is conceived as a long-stay environment rather than a purely recreational platform. The yard describes it as an “ocean-bound residence,” with over 600 square meters of usable space distributed across the three levels.

Natural light plays a central role in the interior concept, with wide openings and direct access to exterior decks shaping the atmosphere throughout the yacht. The intention is to create continuity between inside and outside, with shared spaces that feel open but remain defined.

Private accommodation areas are deliberately set apart, reinforcing a sense of retreat from the main social zones. This zoning supports extended use, whether for family cruising or hosting larger groups.

Connected Deck Spaces Across All Levels

A key part of the FPY120 concept is its flexibility. The motor yacht is offered with a bespoke program that allows owners to tailor layout, materials, and finishes to their preferences, while maintaining the underlying design framework.

This extends to different configuration options across the decks, with variations in layout designed to suit different ownership profiles. The aim is to provide a structured platform that can adapt to individual requirements without compromising the overall coherence of the design.

Romain Motteau, Deputy CEO of Fountaine Pajot, described the project as an extension of the yard’s broader philosophy, where architecture serves the onboard experience and each design decision is guided by clarity and consistency.

The FPY120 is powered by twin engines, with a standard output of 2 x 1,300 horsepower and an optional upgrade to 2 x 2,000 horsepower. This provides a range of performance options depending on owner priorities, whether focused on efficiency or higher speeds. With an estimated range of up to 3,000 nautical miles, the superyacht is designed for extended cruising, supported by the inherent efficiency and stability of a catamaran hull form.

A New Direction for Fountaine Pajot

By focusing on layout clarity, spatial flow, and customization, the project moves away from traditional metrics of scale and instead emphasizes how a yacht is experienced day to day. With Fraser supporting its commercial rollout, the model is positioned as a key step in establishing the Fountaine Pajot Yachts brand within the 30-meter-plus category.

The FPY120 represents a major leap forward in Fountaine Pajot Yachts’ vision of modern yachting. This 35-meter catamaran is designed to be lived in with flow, like an ocean-bound residence."

Further details are expected as the project develops, but the FPY120 already outlines the framework for what the yard intends to deliver in this next phase.
