Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.92m beam and a 2.01m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 321 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the twenty-sixth yacht built on the Westport 130 design.
Exterior Design
Trust Fun is immediately recognisable as a Westport 130. The profile avoids fashionable design tricks and instead relies on proportion, balance and clean lines, which helps explain why the model still looks current today.
Designed by Gregory C. Marshall with naval architecture by William Garden, the yacht combines the volume of a serious cruising platform with a hull capable of much higher speeds than a traditional displacement yacht. The long bands of glazing help reduce the visual height of the superstructure, while the raised pilothouse creates a strong forward stance without making the yacht appear top-heavy.
The foredeck follows a traditional approach, with high bulwarks, a Portuguese bridge and a fine entry. These features contribute to the yacht's offshore capability and give the bow a purposeful look that suits the Westport's seagoing character.
The photographs also reveal one of the model's enduring strengths: deck space. The aft deck is particularly impressive, offering enough room for a sizeable dining setup, loose seating and a service bar while still maintaining clear circulation around the perimeter. This is a yacht built to host people comfortably rather than simply maximise guest numbers on paper.
Above, the bridge deck and sundeck continue the theme. A Jacuzzi and bar create a natural social hub, while the custom carbon-fibre awning arrangement adds welcome flexibility when conditions change. Deep overhangs throughout the yacht provide shade and weather protection, making the exterior spaces useful across a wider range of climates than many more open modern designs.
Interior Design
Trust Fun's interior reflects the strengths that helped make Westport a dominant force in the large-yacht market. The focus is not on dramatic styling or architectural statements. The focus is on creating spaces that owners actually enjoy living in.
The main saloon uses its substantial window line well, with panoramic views stretching almost the full length of the space. An L-shaped sofa anchors the seating arrangement while maintaining an open feel between the lounge and dining areas.
Forward, the formal dining area seats ten around a custom mahogany table with glass inlays. Purpose-built cabinetry on either side stores dining service and glassware, a small detail that hints at the yacht's slightly customised nature.
The galley is notably large and practical. Double ovens, extensive refrigeration and generous work surfaces support extended cruising and larger guest parties with ease. A dedicated stewardess pantry adds another layer of functionality and helps keep service discreet.
The skylounge is arguably the most interesting interior space. Many yachts use this deck primarily as an entertainment room, but Trust Fun treats it as a second living area. The office, fireplace, service bar and large seating area make it a comfortable retreat away from the activity of the main deck. For owners spending weeks aboard, that separation becomes increasingly valuable.
Accommodation
Trust Fun accommodates up to 11 guests across five staterooms and carries a crew of up to 7.
The owner's suite occupies the main deck and benefits from large windows that bring in plenty of natural light and provide wide views out to sea. The ensuite bathroom includes separate his-and-hers access and an unusually large triple shower arrangement.
Four guest cabins occupy the lower deck. Two VIP cabins feature California king berths and ensuite bathrooms, giving them a level of space that many yachts reserve for a single VIP suite.
The remaining guest cabins are configured with convertible twin berths, allowing them to function as either twin or double cabins. The port cabin also includes a Pullman berth, increasing total guest capacity to 11 when required.
Crew accommodation is substantial, reflecting the yacht's size and intended use. The captain has a private cabin, additional crew cabins are located forward, and a separate engineer's cabin sits aft. This arrangement supports smooth operation while keeping guest and crew areas well separated.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V4000 M90) 2,735hp engines running at 1200rpm, motor yacht Trust Fun is capable of reaching a top speed of 28 knots, and comfortably cruises at 23 knots. With her 37,476 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,800 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. In addition, a swim platform provides easy access to the ocean. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort and underwater lights will turn plenty of heads when the sun goes down. Trust Fun also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
