- Contemporary flybridge schooner
- Global circumnavigation capability
Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 12.34m beam and a 6m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 1,104 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the second yacht built on the Trident 810 design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
The 81m (266ft) Project 412 sailing yacht by Royal Huisman is conceived as a contemporary flybridge schooner, built entirely in aluminium and designed for long-range sailing performance. Developed with Dykstra Naval Architects and Mark Whiteley Design, the yacht combines scale with a clear focus on efficiency under sail.
Her hull features a continuous chine running from bow to stern, which defines the profile and adds both volume and hydrodynamic control. The aluminium construction keeps weight under control at this size, while also supporting strength for global cruising.
The three-mast schooner rig is central to the design, with a state-of-the-art carbon rig supplied by Rondal. This setup supports efficient sail handling and reduces loads, so operation remains manageable despite the yacht’s scale. The air draft of 62m (203ft) keeps her within Panamax limits, which expands routing options for world cruising.
The flybridge configuration introduces an elevated control and observation position, integrated into the superstructure without disrupting the sailing lines. Deck layout is expected to balance working sail areas with guest circulation, so the yacht retains a true sailing identity while accommodating life on board.
Accommodation
Project 412 offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising an owners cabin, 1 single cabin and 4 cabins that can operate as twins or doubles. She is also capable of carrying up to 14 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin Caterpillar (C32) 1,470hp engines, motor yacht Project 412 is capable of reaching a top speed of 21 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots.
