Design & Construction
Designed around a planing steel hull and a GRP superstructure she features a 7.1m beam and a 2.3m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 220 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the second yacht built on the SP110 design. Launched in January 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in March 2023.
Exterior Design
Zuccon International Projects were recognized with the Compasso d'Oro award for their design of the Sanlorenzo SP110. STEEL IT is the second hull of Sanlorenzo's SP (Smart Performance) series redefining high-performance open yachts with innovative features. The yacht boasts a straight windshield, a low-profile superstructure, and floor-to-ceiling sliding glass on both sides, enhancing connectivity with the sea.
The exterior design focuses on simplicity and elegance, featuring relatively small windows on the lower deck that blend seamlessly into the hull's paint scheme. A distinctive copper-color detail adds a touch of distinction to the sleek and sporty profile, maintaining Sanlorenzo's hallmark sophistication.
Significantly wider than comparable yachts, the SP110 incorporates a double-stepped hull for enhanced performance. A deep-V hull with strategically positioned spray rails ensures a smooth ride, minimizing air bubbles and optimizing waterjet intake efficiency. With a shallow draught of only 1.3m the yacht easily navigates shallow waters.
A standout feature is the double-height stern, creating a striking focal point. From the aft deck, stairs lead both up to the raised main deck and down to the lower deck lounge area. When the aft wall slides open, both interior living spaces seamlessly integrate with the exterior deck, offering expansive sightlines from the dining area to the swim platform.
The raised main deck houses an open-plan saloon, dining area, dayhead, galley, and bridge, all designed for maximum comfort and functionality. Four sliding doors allow the entire deck to transform into a spacious open-air terrace, enhancing onboard living.
Additionally, the yacht is equipped with solar cells covering approximately 35sq/m of roof space, capable of generating up to 60kW of power on sunny days, contributing to sustainable operation and reducing environmental impact.
Interior Design
The interior, created by Piero Lissoni, follows the same philosophy as the exterior. Rather than filling the yacht with decorative features, the emphasis is on space, light and connection to the sea.
The main deck saloon sits one level above the aft cockpit and benefits from extensive floor-to-ceiling glazing. Large sliding doors on both sides and aft can open the space almost completely, transforming the saloon into a covered terrace. Natural light floods the interior through glass surfaces that account for a remarkable proportion of the yacht's structure.
One of the most interesting features is the split-level arrangement. Standing in the aft section, guests enjoy visual links between the upper saloon, the lower lounge and the sea beyond. The result feels closer to a modern waterfront home than a traditional performance yacht.
Lissoni's interior scheme uses teak, resin, lava stone, glass and metal finishes to create a calm, contemporary atmosphere. The choice of materials was driven partly by aesthetics and partly by weight reduction, an important consideration on a yacht capable of 40 knots. The lighter materials help maintain performance while still delivering a sophisticated finish.
The lower lounge is a particularly good feature. Positioned close to the water with direct access to the aft deck, it works as a relaxed secondary saloon, television room or cinema space. This extra living area gives the yacht a level of flexibility that many sports yachts lack.

Steel It offers accommodation for up to 8 guests in 4 suites. She is also capable of carrying up to 5 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
