Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 10.9m beam and a 3.25m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 1,051 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in mid 2012 with the keel laid under the project name 'Feadship #687'. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in August 2014 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in December 2014.

Exterior Design

Rock.It is a 60.35m Feadship motor yacht launched in 2014, designed by Sinot Exclusive Yacht Design with naval architecture by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects. Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the yacht combines long horizontal glazing with a sharply raked bow that helps reduce wave resistance and improves cruising efficiency.

Her profile remains clean and balanced, finished in a white hull and superstructure with a contrasting black boot stripe along the waterline. Large windows run along the guest decks, bringing natural light into the interior spaces while maintaining the sleek exterior profile.

The sundeck on Rock.It is arranged as a primary entertainment area. Two stone-clad bars sit beneath the hardtop, allowing guests to gather around the central lounge space. Forward, a spa pool and sunpads provide a sunbathing area, while an aft awning can extend to create shade. The hardtop incorporates nine skylights made from photo-reactive glass that darken automatically in bright sunlight.

On the main deck aft, a covered dining table creates an outdoor space for meals. Inside, the saloon begins with a curved backlit onyx bar set against Portoro marble. Above it sits a circular dome framed in mahogany, a design element repeated across the main and bridge decks.

The bridge deck lounge provides another social area with full-beam seating and a bar positioned to port. Sliding glass panels allow the aft deck to remain usable in different weather conditions while maintaining a strong connection to the outside deck space.

Interior Design

The interior of Rock.It uses a combination of dark woods and light stone finishes. Crotch mahogany and diagonally veneered sycamore panels appear throughout the yacht, while Portoro marble and backlit white onyx add contrast.

The main deck saloon incorporates the yacht’s primary indoor dining area rather than a separate formal dining room. At its centre sits a custom Pollaro dining table crafted from macassar ebony and lighter veneers arranged in a sunburst pattern. The table required more than 350 hours of work and is finished with a faceted stainless-steel edge.

An amidships lobby with marble flooring leads to a circular staircase that links the decks.

The bridge deck lounge uses a different palette with cross-grain sycamore and mahogany beams, along with a ceiling formed from woven teak strips. Large windows and sliding glass doors allow the room to operate as both an indoor lounge and an all-weather dining area.

Accommodation

The Feadship yacht Rock.It accommodates 10 guests across five cabins.

The owner’s suite occupies the forward section of the main deck and spans the full beam. The suite includes separate his and hers marble bathrooms, with one sink carved from a single 500kg block of marble. Backlit onyx panels create soft ambient lighting throughout the space.

Guest accommodation is located on the lower deck and includes:

  • Two VIP cabins
  • Two twin cabins

Large hull windows bring natural light into the cabins, while the layout positions doors so they do not face each other, improving privacy.

Crew accommodation meets MLC 2006 standards and provides space for 13 crew members, including a dedicated engineer’s cabin positioned near the control room.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M53R) 1,520hp engines running at 1600rpm, motor yacht Rock.It is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 126,001 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,300 nautical miles at 12 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.

Amenities

In addition, a sumptuous cinema suite allows for movie nights at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
