Due to be delivered in 2026, Riva 96’ Argo Super / 01 is a 28.79m motor yacht built by Italian shipyard Riva. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Officina Italiana Design, while Ferretti Group Engineering Department is responsible for her naval architecture.

Key Features

  • Evolution of the 90' Argo
  • Main deck owner's suite
  • Twin 2,000hp MTU engines
  • Redesigned beach club
  • 30-knot top speed

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 6.5m beam and a 2.15m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 140 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the 96' Argo Super design. Launched in July 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

The first Riva 96' Argo Super builds on one of the Italian builder's most successful flybridge yachts, taking the award-winning Riva 90' Argo platform and refining it around the areas owners use most. The result is not a completely new yacht, but a carefully considered evolution that brings more living space, better circulation and a closer connection with the water while preserving the sleek proportions and unmistakable styling that define the Riva brand.

At 28.79m (94.5ft), the profile retains the low, flowing lines created by Officina Italiana Design, working alongside the Ferretti Group Strategic Product Committee and Engineering Department. Long bands of dark glazing sweep through the hull and superstructure, visually stretching the yacht from bow to stern, while the familiar Aluminium hull colour with Bright Black detailing gives the first hull a crisp, contemporary appearance. Although the yacht grows beyond the 90' Argo, the proportions remain balanced and unmistakably Riva.

The biggest changes are found at the stern. Riva has redesigned the beach club to make it work harder throughout the day, starting with a new garage door that doubles as a generous sunpad complete with integrated handrails and cup holders. When opened, the garage reveals stowage for a Williams 435 tender and a personal watercraft, while the adjacent swim platform now incorporates a lifting mechanism that makes launching toys and stepping into the water much easier. Together these changes create a beach area that feels larger, more practical and better connected to the sea.

The cockpit has also been reworked with everyday use in mind. New storage lockers, an integrated refrigerator and adjustable backrests on the twin longitudinal sofas allow the space to change easily between dining, lounging and entertaining. Above, the flybridge introduces a redesigned bar and new mahogany tables, building on the "Infinity Deck" concept introduced on the 90' Argo by creating several outdoor living areas that flow naturally into one another instead of functioning as separate decks.

Interior Design

Hull one introduces one of the most significant interior changes in the Argo family's development. Buyers can now choose between two main deck layouts, with the first yacht adopting a dining area aft and the principal lounge forward. Positioning the dining table beside the cockpit strengthens the connection between inside and outside, allowing meals and entertaining to spread naturally across the aft end of the yacht.

The addition of a dedicated day head on the main deck is another small change with a much bigger impact. Moving this facility upstairs frees valuable space on the lower deck, allowing Riva to rethink the guest accommodation and improve circulation without increasing the yacht's overall size. It is a simple design decision that delivers benefits throughout the yacht.

The interior itself introduces a brighter material palette than the earlier model. Polished wengé is paired with pale matt oak, while polished stainless steel, mirrored surfaces and carefully placed glazing reflect natural light through the living spaces. The effect is lighter and more contemporary without losing the warmth expected aboard a Riva.

The full-beam owner's suite also benefits from the redesign. Larger windows and carefully positioned furniture maintain uninterrupted views of the sea from almost every part of the cabin, including the bed, giving the owner's space a stronger connection with the surrounding landscape throughout the day.

Accommodation

Riva 96' Argo Super /01 accommodates up to eight guests in four cabins, with the owner's suite occupying the full beam of the main deck. One of the biggest changes introduced on this model is the redesigned lower deck, made possible by moving the day head to the main deck. The standard layout now comprises a generous full-beam VIP suite aft and two further cabins that can operate as twins or doubles, giving owners useful flexibility for family cruising or mixed guest groups.

The owner's suite also benefits from one of the yacht's key design updates. Larger glazed surfaces and carefully arranged furniture bring in more natural light while maintaining uninterrupted views of the sea from the bed, creating a brighter and more open feel than the previous model.

Accommodation for four crew is arranged separately to support efficient service while maintaining guest privacy.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin 2,000hp MTU 12V 2000 M96X engines, the first Riva 96' Argo Super reaches a top speed of 30 knots and cruises comfortably at 26 knots. Her planing hull combines the fast, responsive handling expected of a Riva with the stability needed for longer passages, while an 8,700-litre fuel capacity provides a range of around 320 nautical miles at 22 knots.

The engineering package extends well beyond the propulsion system. Twin Seakeeper NG18 and NG10 gyroscopic stabilisers improve comfort both underway and at anchor, while Xenta's X-AID manoeuvring system, Virtual Anchor technology, the Watchit collision prevention system and a stern thruster all reduce workload around marinas and busy anchorages. Together these systems make the yacht easier to handle while allowing owners and guests to enjoy the high-speed performance that has long been a hallmark of Riva's flybridge range.
