The award winning 31m motor yacht GIO4 was delivered to her owners in 2022 by Italian shipyard Riva. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Officina Italiana Design, while Riva is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction

Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.7m beam and a 1.99m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 171 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Launched in May 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

The Riva 102 Corsaro Super yacht GIO4 measures 30.24m (99.2ft), and her profile carries the sharp, forward-leaning stance that defines this model. The bow stretches out with a pointed, arrow-like form, while the superstructure sits low and layered, so the whole silhouette reads as fast even at rest.

A continuous dark glazing band runs along the hull and superstructure, and this contrasts with the lighter bodywork to emphasise length and flow. The hardtop mirrors this treatment, so the upper structure feels integrated rather than stacked.

The aft section has been fully reworked, and this is where the design shifts toward water-level living. A 35sqm (376.7sqft) beach club sits across multiple layers, while the 15sqm (161.5sqft) swim platform drops closer to the sea and provides direct side access into the cockpit. A large central sunpad sits above the garage entrance, and two concealed storage lockers sit either side.

The cockpit spans around 20sqm (215.3sqft), and it is set up as a flexible social space with a large sofa, optional dining table, and loose furniture. A bar unit with icemaker sits to port, while a staircase on the starboard side links directly to the upper deck, so movement between levels stays simple and direct.

Up top, the flybridge extends the outdoor living areas, while optional folding terraces on the main deck can open outwards to increase beam at anchor. These drop-down sections widen the walkways and bring the sea closer, without changing the yacht’s clean exterior lines.

Interior Design

Inside, the layout focuses on openness and light, and this comes through the extensive glazing that runs across all decks. Over 140sqm (1,506.9sqft) of glass reduces the divide between interior and exterior, so views remain constant from most positions on board.

The main salon offers two layout options, and both keep a clear link to the aft cockpit. In one version, the dining area sits aft with an eight-seat table, while the lounge occupies the central space. In the alternative layout, the lounge moves forward toward the entrance, so the interior and exterior seating areas read as one continuous zone.

Materials centre on Canaletto walnut, and its warm tone sets the base for the interior. This is paired with satin titanium finishes or lighter surfaces, so the contrast keeps the space from feeling heavy while still retaining a strong identity.

Large side windows, including extended glazing in the owner’s suite, bring in natural light, while the widebody configuration increases usable interior width. As a result, the main spaces feel broad and open without relying on excessive decoration.

Accommodation

The Riva 102 Corsaro Super GIO4 accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins, and the layout gives clear priority to the main deck owner.

The owner’s suite sits forward on the main deck and spans the full beam, so it benefits from both width and natural light. Windows extend to around 2m (6.6ft) in length on each side, and this strengthens the connection to the water. The suite includes a large wardrobe at the entrance, and a full-beam bathroom forward with a C-shaped double basin, separate shower, and private toilet areas.

Below deck, guest accommodation includes three VIP double cabins and one twin cabin, and all are fitted with en suite bathrooms. The layout keeps circulation simple, while the cabin mix suits a range of guest groups.

Crew areas for up to five are aft near the engine room, and the garage is large enough to carry a Williams 445 tender along with additional water toys, so launch and recovery can be handled without disrupting guest areas.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M96) 2,435hp engines, motor yacht GIO4 is capable of reaching a top speed of 27 knots, and comfortably cruises at 24 knots. Her planing hull design means she is fast and efficient as she slices through the water.
