The 51m motor yacht Double Haven was delivered to her owners in 1993 by Dutch shipyard Feadship. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Glade Johnson Design, while De Voogt is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 9.3m beam and a 3.45m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 817 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
Double Haven's profile is traditional, with a raked bow, full hull volume and a tiered superstructure that steps cleanly across the decks.
The hull and superstructure are finished in white, with a black boot top and lower hull providing contrast at the waterline. Rows of circular portholes run along the lower deck, while larger, more geometric window sections sit within the main and upper decks, giving the profile a mix of classic and later design cues.
The aft section is built around function. A large transom door folds down to form a proper working cockpit at water level, which links directly to the main deck aft. This area doubles as a watersports base, rather than a simple swim platform.
Above, twin Akerboom cranes are integrated into the aft overhang. These lift the custom tender over the transom, with a setup designed for quick deployment without complex handling.
Deck spaces are varied and clearly defined. The upper deck includes a spa pool, barbecue and open seating arranged around an octagonal layout, while also supporting a helicopter landing area. Side decks run full length, keeping circulation simple.
Interior Design
The interior centres on strong geometry and adaptable spaces rather than fixed layouts.
The main saloon is arranged as a conservatory-style space, with large glass panels at the aft end bringing in light and opening the view over the stern. Materials include English sycamore, bird’s eye maple and marble, which give the room a lighter tone than the exterior suggests.
The octagon theme runs through the main spaces. In the saloon, a central seating arrangement can be reconfigured depending on use. It can form a closed seating group, open into cinema-style seating, or split apart to reveal an illuminated dance floor built into the deck.
Dining follows the same approach. The table adjusts between six, eight or twelve guests, so the space can scale without changing rooms.
Lighting and audio systems are integrated into the structure, with concealed equipment and adjustable settings that allow the room to shift from day use to evening events without altering the layout.
Accommodation
Double Haven accommodates up to 12 guests in six cabins, with crew areas positioned forward.
The owner’s suite sits on the upper deck and is arranged as a private apartment. It includes a bedroom with 180° views, a dressing area, bathroom and a private lounge, along with direct access to an outdoor breakfast terrace.
On the lower deck, four guest cabins include two doubles, one twin and a flexible cabin that can convert into a gym and wellness space with a steam shower and sauna. Each cabin has its own marble-finished bathroom.
An additional guest cabin completes the six-cabin layout, allowing the yacht to host a full complement without relying on convertible spaces.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3512 DITA) 1,430hp engines, motor yacht Double Haven is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 127,950 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 7,644 nautical miles at 10 knots.
