Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.55m beam and a 2.13m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 101 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Launched in November 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Blue Infinity One carries a lot of yacht into 28.96m (95ft), and the exterior has been worked quite hard to stop that volume looking heavy. The Sunseeker 95 Yacht is a raised-pilothouse design with three distinct levels, so black paint has been used around the glazing, flybridge and superstructure to visually join those levels together and pull the profile out lengthways. From the water, it works rather well.
There is more to the bow than paint. New mouldings were added around the forward superstructure, taking some of the bluntness out of the standard 95 Yacht shape while also forming windbreaks around the foredeck seating. The bow itself has a huge sunpad further forward, high bulwarks and rails, so it feels secure even when the yacht is moving.
The owner's cabin opens directly onto this deck, which means the forward lounge can become a private terrace when wanted. That is a lovely bit of the layout because there is no need to walk back through the saloon simply to get outside.
Aft, the cockpit has a wet bar with refrigeration and sink, while infrared heating panels are built into the overhead. Removable enclosure panels can be added around the cockpit as well, extending the usefulness of this space into cooler months rather than treating it purely as a summer dining area.
There is also a fold-down side balcony beside the dining area. Once lowered, teak facing becomes the deck surface and removable rails slot into place, creating a small waterside terrace directly from the main deck.
The flybridge has had even more work done to it. The standard arrangement was extensively reconfigured with a large open-ended bar that can be worked from either side, drawer refrigeration, barbecue and a second helm forward. The tables are particularly clever. They can join together for a large dinner, separate for smaller groups, or lower and fold so the same space becomes a broad sunbathing area.
Normally, the Sunseeker 95 Yacht asks an owner to choose between a flybridge hot tub or a crane and jet-ski storage. Blue Infinity One has both. The crane arrangement was altered so the jet ski can be stored lengthways while underway, leaving room for the spa. Once the jet ski is launched, that area becomes another part of the guest deck. An opening section in the hardtop and a large extending aft awning provide a useful choice between sun and shade.
At water level, the hi-lo bathing platform carries the Williams tender and lowers into the sea for launch and recovery. Once the tender is away, the platform becomes the main swimming and toy area. The aerial image shows this nicely, with the tender alongside and a floating dock, jet ski and boards all spread around the stern rather than taking over the main decks.
Aquaholic has also been aboard this heavily customised 95 Yacht, and the Aquaholic Sunseeker 95 Yacht tour gives a proper walk-through of the changes made to the standard model.
Interior Design
Blue Infinity One's interior is deliberately neutral, but there is a reason for that. Pale upholstery, greys, timber and darker accents create a base that can take different artwork, cushions, throws and bedding without having to change the fixed interior around them.
The main saloon has a large seating group aft with a hi-lo television opposite, followed by dining further forward. The dining table splits and extends with a matching centre section, so it can deal with a larger group without permanently filling the room with an oversized table.
Storage is tucked into the surrounding cabinetry for glassware and tableware, and the arrangement remains quite open despite the amount of equipment being carried. The side balcony is reached from this part of the saloon too, giving the dining room another connection outside.
Vescom appears throughout the yacht. It is a tough, textured material chosen partly because it deals well with repeated use, but some of the applications are rather clever. Around the stairs in the owner's suite, it sits behind the lighting and acts as a diffuser, softening what could otherwise be quite harsh step lights.
The galley is much closer to a professional working galley than a domestic kitchen. There are Miele appliances, extensive refrigeration and stainless steel around the working surfaces, with access directly onto the side deck. Food can also be held under infrared heating before service. It is a small detail, but sensible on a yacht set up to spend a lot of time in use.
Accommodation
Blue Infinity One accommodates up to 10 guests in five cabins, with the owner's suite on the main deck and four guest cabins below.
The owner's accommodation is probably the most unusual part of the Sunseeker 95 Yacht. The sleeping area sits on the main-deck level, with large windows on either side and lowered bulwarks with glass inserts so someone lying in bed can still see the water. A door leads straight onto the foredeck.
From the bedroom, stairs lead down through a dedicated dressing area to the bathroom below. The wardrobe space wraps around this lower level, followed by twin basins and a large rainfall shower.
Blue Infinity One has several changes to the standard arrangement here. A bespoke cabinet replaces the usual stainless-steel balustrade beside the stairs, with the handrail moved discreetly to the outside. More cleverly, an additional door allows the nearby day head to become part of the owner's accommodation at night. The lighting circuits were altered too, so people using the surrounding lobby do not illuminate the owner's stairwell while somebody is sleeping.
Four more cabins sit on the lower deck. The two aft rooms are doubles with en suite shower rooms and substantial wardrobe and drawer storage. The forward guest cabins are more adaptable, with beds that can be separated and Pullman capability available when required. Rainfall showers and the same leather, Vescom and lighting details continue through the guest accommodation.
Crew accommodation is aft for up to five. Two bunk cabins take four crew, while the mess can provide another berth when needed. There is also a small food preparation area, refrigeration, sink, communications equipment and separate shower facilities.
Performance & Capabilities
Twin MTU 12V2000 M96L diesels produce 1,947hp each, giving Blue Infinity One a top speed of around 29 knots and a cruising speed of approximately 24 knots.
That is useful pace for a yacht carrying this much accommodation. At the other end of the scale, slowing to around 10 knots increases the quoted range to roughly 1,200 nautical miles, so there is quite a difference between the way the yacht can be used for a fast coastal run and a longer passage.
The 95 Yacht uses Sunseeker's planing hull, and the raised pilothouse keeps the main navigation station separate from the saloon. There is another helm on the flybridge and docking controls aft, giving three different control positions for cruising and close-quarter work.
Blue Infinity One's MTUs have also been certified for use with synthetic fuels, giving the yacht another fuel option without replacing the existing engines.
