Key Features

  • Main deck owner's suite
  • Beach club and swim platform
  • Flybridge spa tub
  • 1,900nm cruising range

Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7.3m beam and a 2.11m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 246 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the fifth yacht built on the Princess 35M design. She was completed at Princess' South Yard yard in United Kingdom where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners in May 2018.

Exterior Design

Avalon is part of the Princess 35M series, the flagship model of Princess Yachts' now-discontinued M Class range. Designed by Bernard Olesinski, the 35.15m (115.3ft) yacht combines the proportions of a traditional raised pilothouse superyacht with the lower profile and cleaner lines more often associated with performance yachts.

The profile begins with a tall, near-vertical bow that transitions into long, uninterrupted hull lines running aft. A dark hull finish emphasises the yacht's length, while extensive glazing breaks up the superstructure and reduces the visual bulk that often accompanies yachts of this volume. The raised pilothouse creates a natural step between the main deck and upper deck, producing a layered profile that remains balanced despite the yacht's substantial interior volume.

One of the model's most distinctive design details is the pair of oval "cat's eye" windows set into the forward hull. Positioned beneath the owner's suite, they give the bow a recognisable identity while bringing natural light deep into the accommodation spaces. Large floor-to-ceiling windows along the main deck continue the emphasis on light and views.

Outdoor living is spread across several deck areas. The aft deck provides a sheltered dining space connected directly to the main saloon, while the flybridge offers a second social zone with dining for up to ten guests, sunpads, a wet bar and a six-person spa tub. Forward, the foredeck creates another private lounge area with sunpads and open views ahead.

At water level, the stepped stern arrangement leads down to a beach club and bathing platform. The cockpit sits particularly close to the water, creating a more relaxed connection with the sea than many raised-deck yachts of similar size.

As Hull 5 of only seven Princess 35Ms built, Avalon comes from one of the rarest production series Princess has ever produced. The model represented the peak of the yard's M Class programme before Princess shifted its focus toward the X Class range, making the 35M one of the last traditional raised-pilothouse superyachts to emerge from the British builder.

Interior Design

Avalon's interior combines contemporary styling with the warm timber finishes that characterised the Princess M Class. High-gloss walnut and American dark cherry feature throughout the guest areas, creating a rich finish without overwhelming the spaces.

The main saloon takes full advantage of the yacht's large side windows, which flood the room with natural light and provide clear views from almost every seating position. A large lounge occupies the aft section of the room, while a formal dining area for up to ten guests sits forward. The arrangement creates two distinct social spaces within a single open-plan room.

A comprehensive entertainment system includes a 55-inch Samsung television, Bose surround sound and full internet connectivity. The large window openings and relatively slim structural pillars help maintain an open feel throughout the deck.

Forward of the saloon, the galley serves extended cruising with generous storage and preparation space. The overall layout reflects the Princess 35M's brief of delivering genuine superyacht volume within a yacht that remains owner-friendly and manageable compared with larger custom vessels.

Accommodation

Avalon accommodates up to eight guests in four en suite cabins and carries a crew of up to five.

The owner's suite occupies a prime position forward on the main deck. Full beam across the yacht, it benefits from the distinctive bow glazing and incorporates a private office, walk-in wardrobe, seating area and large en suite bathroom. The elevated position provides excellent views while keeping the owner's accommodation separate from the guest cabins below.

Guest accommodation is arranged on the lower deck and consists of a VIP suite, one double cabin and one twin cabin. Each cabin has its own en suite bathroom, entertainment system and dedicated storage.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V 2000 M96L) 2,450hp engines, motor yacht Avalon is capable of reaching a top speed of 22 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots. With her 18,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,900 nautical miles at 9 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

Amenities

Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort, while underwater lights create a dazzling light display when the sun goes down.
