Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 1.98m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 280 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the sixth yacht built on the Westport 130 design.
Exterior Design
Avalina is a 39.60m (129.11ft) Westport 130 motor yacht, built on one of the most established tri-deck platforms in this size range. Designed by Gregory Marshall with naval architecture by William Garden, the Westport 130 balances volume, performance, and practical deck use, and it has remained in demand for years for exactly that reason.
The profile is clean and familiar, with a long sweeping sheer line, a raised pilothouse, and a beamy 8.00m (26.3ft) stance that gives the yacht strong interior volume without losing proportion. The GRP semi-displacement hull supports cruising speeds around 20 knots, while the relatively shallow 1.98m (6.6ft) draft suits Bahamas and Caribbean cruising as well as Mediterranean use.
Deck layout follows a clear three-level structure. The main deck aft is shaded and set up for dining and day-to-day use, flowing directly from the saloon, while the bridge deck adds another terrace with more open seating and clear views. Above, the sundeck works as the main leisure space, with a Jacuzzi, bar, sunpads, and seating under a hardtop, so it becomes the natural gathering point at anchor.
Forward, the foredeck offers a dedicated sunbathing area with safe, wide walkaround side decks connecting the yacht end to end, which improves both guest movement and crew operation. The upper aft deck is used for tender storage with a crane system, keeping the main stern area free, while the swim platform at water level supports easy access for swimming and watersports.
Interior Design
Inside, Avalina follows a classic Westport interior approach, with a focus on space, comfort, and clear layout rather than design trends. Cherry wood cabinetry, marble finishes, and soft furnishings run throughout, giving the yacht a warm and consistent feel.
The main saloon is wide and bright, with large windows along both sides, so natural light carries through the space while seating areas remain clearly defined. Forward, a formal dining area keeps meals separate from the lounge, which adds structure for both private use and charter.
A skylounge on the bridge deck provides a second interior living space, useful for quieter moments or when the main saloon is in use. Entertainment systems have been upgraded across the yacht, including modern AV and integrated controls, so the interior supports extended stays onboard without feeling dated.
Accommodation
Avalina accommodates up to 10 guests in 5 cabins. The main deck owner’s suite spans the full beam, so it benefits from added volume, light, and privacy, and it includes a his-and-hers bathroom finished in marble with a Jacuzzi tub and separate shower.
On the lower deck, two VIP double cabins and two twin cabins provide flexible guest accommodation, and each cabin includes en suite facilities, entertainment systems, and climate control.
Crew accommodation supports up to 7 crew, allowing the yacht to run with a full service team during private cruising or charter operations.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 4000 M90) 2,734hp engines running at 2100rpm, motor yacht Avalina is capable of reaching a top speed of 24 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 37,468 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,500 nautical miles. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
