Design & Construction
Designed around a deep vee GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.47m beam and a 1.95m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 84 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
After 8 II is based on the highly successful Sunseeker 86 Yacht platform, with exterior styling that combines the brand’s familiar sporty profile with the volume and deck space expected from a much larger yacht. Delivered in 2015, the 26.3m (86.3ft) yacht carries the sharp glazing, sweeping superstructure lines and low-profile stance that define this generation of Sunseeker design.
The profile is built around long dark hull windows and a heavily glazed main deck, creating strong contrast against the white hull and superstructure. A raked windscreen and flowing flybridge supports help pull the lines aft, while the carbon fibre hardtop keeps the upper structure visually light despite the yacht’s substantial beam.
One of the defining exterior features aboard After 8 II is the hydraulic fold-down balcony on the starboard side of the saloon. Integrated cleanly into the bulwark, it extends the main deck footprint at anchor and strengthens the connection between the saloon and the sea. Full-height sliding glass doors beside the balcony also help the interior and exterior spaces work together naturally.
The aft cockpit is arranged as a relaxed outdoor dining area with a teak dining table and direct access into the saloon. Twin staircases lead down to the hydraulic swim platform, which also provides access to the separate crew quarters and tender handling area. A Williams 445 Turbojet tender was specified for the yacht and can be included through separate negotiation.
Forward, the bow has been designed as a dedicated guest lounge rather than purely a working deck. Adjustable sunpads, wraparound seating and a removable parasol create a private outdoor area with unobstructed views ahead. The layout feels particularly usable while underway thanks to the yacht’s high bulwarks and broad side decks.
The flybridge forms the social centre of the yacht. Protected beneath the carbon fibre hardtop, it combines a dining area, wet bar, helm station and large sunbathing spaces within one open layout. Additional features include an electric barbecue grill, flybridge teak decking and mist-free open sightlines over the bow. Twin satellite domes and the dark hardtop structure add further contrast to the otherwise clean exterior profile.
Interior Design
The interior aboard After 8 II follows a restrained and contemporary style built around gloss Black American Walnut joinery, soft neutral furnishings and large panoramic windows. Sunseeker handled both the exterior and interior design in-house, creating a layout that prioritises natural light and practical guest flow rather than excessive decoration.
The main saloon feels particularly open thanks to the full-height glazing and the fold-down balcony arrangement on the starboard side. Pale carpets and light upholstery soften the darker walnut woodwork, while recessed ceiling lighting and powered blinds allow the atmosphere to shift easily between daytime cruising and evening use.
The saloon layout uses opposing sofas and lounge chairs to create a balanced social space around low tables, with a wide-screen television integrated into the forward cabinetry. Large side windows draw in uninterrupted sea views while also giving the yacht a noticeably brighter interior than many earlier Sunseeker models.
Forward of the saloon sits the formal dining area, where illuminated onyx detailing introduces a more decorative focal point within the otherwise understated design scheme. The dining table seats up to 10 guests with additional chairs available when required. An electrically operated sliding partition can separate the dining space from the lobby for more privacy.
The galley is fully equipped with Miele appliances including induction hob, microwave combination oven, dishwasher, built-in coffee machine and wine cooler. Black quartz worktops contrast against the lighter surrounding finishes while additional refrigeration and storage support longer periods onboard.
Accommodation
After 8 II accommodates up to 11 guests across a five-cabin layout, one of the most flexible arrangements offered on the Sunseeker 86 Yacht series. Crew accommodation for up to four is positioned separately aft with independent access from the swim platform.
The full-beam owner’s cabin sits forward on the lower deck and benefits from generous natural light through oversized hull windows. Heated flooring in the master ensuite adds extra comfort while marble and stone finishes maintain continuity with the rest of the yacht’s interior styling.
Two additional double cabins and two twin cabins complete the guest accommodation. Both twin cabins feature sliding berth systems that allow them to convert into occasional doubles when needed, while a Pullman berth in the starboard guest cabin increases total guest capacity to 11. All guest cabins include ensuite bathrooms and the same neutral styling seen throughout the yacht.
The crew area includes two double cabins, a dedicated bathroom, crew mess and separate laundry facilities with Miele washing machine and tumble dryer.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V2000M94) 1,950hp engines, motor yacht After 8 II is capable of reaching a top speed of 29 knots, and comfortably cruises at 23 knots. With her 11,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
