On Deck
This Nordhavn N75 EYF brings together long-range cruising and serious fishing use, and you see that straight away in the cockpit, where a fighting chair sits central within a wide, low-level working area, as rod holders line the coamings and a barbecue stands ready just aft, so it works as a proper fishing station rather than a token feature. The space is open, easy to move around, and built for activity, while the connection to the water feels direct and purposeful.
Above this, the aft deck rises into a more relaxed zone, and as you step up you find a day head positioned close by, which makes practical sense when the cockpit is in use, while steps lead up to the upper deck and also link back through the boat. Side decks run along both sides, giving safe, continuous movement forward.
Moving up to bridge level, the Portuguese bridge wraps around the front, and here there is a wing station with engine and thruster controls, so you can stand outboard and place the boat with a clear view down the hull side, which is exactly what you want when manoeuvring something of this scale. Forward again, the bow carries twin anchors and twin capstans, with enough working room to handle ground tackle properly, while just aft of that the boat deck holds the tender, served by a crane, as well as additional space for toys like a paddleboard.
Back aft on the upper deck, sunbeds sit beneath the overhang, and because of the airflow pattern they remain sheltered both underway and at anchor, while still giving a clear view aft across the water or along the wake. Above that, a further helm position sits under a hardtop, with tiller steering, engine controls, thrusters, and repeat navigation displays, so while autopilot will handle most passages, the controls remain close to hand. Seating runs aft from this helm, and above again, a ladder leads up to the mast where radar arrays, antennas, and navigation equipment are mounted clear of deck level but still accessible.
Interior Accommodation
Stepping inside, the character is immediately that of a classic Nordhavn, and although this hull dates from 2009, the 2024 refit brings the finishes up to date while keeping the underlying structure intact, so it feels both proven and current. The saloon forms a central living space, with a tucked-away sofa that works as a quiet corner, a proper dining table, and a bar area within reach, while a pop-up TV remains hidden when not needed. Overhead handrails run through the ceiling, and as well as giving security underway, they reinforce the idea that this is a boat built to move rather than sit idle.
The galley sits open to this space, and as it faces into the saloon it keeps whoever is cooking connected to the rest of the boat, while the equipment level supports extended time aboard. There is a full-height fridge, freezer drawers below, a dishwasher, and a full cooking setup with pan restraints to keep everything in place at sea. Storage runs deep, with pantry space, crockery storage, and a trash compactor, which makes sense when you consider how long this boat can remain away from port. Along one side, bookshelves add a quieter, lived-in detail that suits long passages.
A small technical room sits off the passageway, housing AV racks and onboard systems, so complex equipment stays accessible but out of sight. Lighting also reflects the long-range brief, as red night lights run through the lower areas and stairways, allowing movement at night without affecting night vision.
Owner's Cabin
The owner’s cabin sits on a split-level section, and because it is slightly separated from the main guest deck it feels more private, almost like a self-contained space within the boat. As you enter, there is a desk set up for work, which suits extended stays or remote use, while storage runs deep with wardrobes and drawers designed to handle a full cruising wardrobe.
Moving forward, the bed area sits in its own section, with hull windows bringing in water-level views, and when the boat is underway you get that constant movement of water just outside, which adds to the sense of being at sea rather than in a static space. AV equipment is integrated, and additional storage is worked in throughout, while the build quality stands out, with thick doors and solid joinery giving a reassuring feel.
The ensuite sits just aft, and it is laid out in a domestic style with a separate shower and toilet, so it works as a proper living space rather than a compromise.
Guest Accommodation
The lower deck carries three guest cabins, arranged along a passageway that winds slightly rather than running straight, which adds to the boat’s ship-like feel. One cabin is a twin with two single berths, and although compact it feels purposeful and clearly part of a working boat rather than a hotel-style space.
Opposite, a larger double cabin includes its own ensuite with a separate shower, as well as good storage and the same solid construction seen elsewhere. A third cabin offers a small double berth and also has its own ensuite, so two of the three cabins are ensuite, while the remaining cabin uses a nearby day head that effectively becomes private overnight.
Crew Accommodation
Crew space sits up at bridge level, where a captain’s cabin is positioned close to the helm, and this arrangement suits either an owner-operator setup or a single skipper. The cabin includes a berth, wardrobe, and its own ensuite behind a sliding pocket door, so it remains separate from the guest accommodation while staying connected to the working part of the boat.
Performance & Engine Room
The engine room is a full walk-around space, and access on all sides means systems can be checked and maintained properly, which is critical on a long-range boat. There is also a secondary escape route, adding a layer of safety.
Power comes from twin MTU Series 60 engines, each rated at 740 horsepower, and as this is a displacement hull, the focus is on range rather than speed. Top speed is around 12 knots, while cruising sits closer to 10 knots, and when reduced to around 7.8 knots the efficiency comes into its own, delivering a range of roughly 3,224 nautical miles with one generator running continuously.
Within the space, there are twin generators, air conditioning systems, tool storage, and access to stern gear and steering systems, so everything is laid out for monitoring and upkeep over long passages.
In Summary
The Nordhavn N75 EYF combines long-range cruising with genuine fishing capability, and as you move through the boat, that dual role remains consistent, from the working cockpit through to the engineering spaces and living areas. It feels solid, purposeful, and built for distance, while still allowing for active use once you arrive, whether that is dropping lines from the cockpit or settling in for extended time aboard.

Rivals to Consider
The Ferretti Infynito 80 at 23.7m (78ft) sits closest in overall size and intent, offering accommodation for up to 8 guests in four cabins, a top speed of around 20 knots, and a long-range cruising mode in the region of 1,000 to 1,200 nautical miles depending on speed, so it works as a modern long-range cruiser with a clear focus on efficiency and onboard comfort, although it remains lifestyle-led and does not match the Nordhavn N75 EYF for engineering access, redundancy, or working deck capability.
The Sanlorenzo SD96 at 28.9m (95ft) moves slightly up in scale, with space for up to 10 guests across five cabins, a semi-displacement hull capable of around 17 knots, and a range approaching 1,800 nautical miles at lower speeds, and while it offers more volume and a calmer cruising profile suited to extended stays aboard, it still leans toward comfort and design rather than the operational, systems-led approach seen on the Nordhavn.
The Azimut Magellano 66 at 20.1m (66ft) is smaller and more crossover in nature, with accommodation for up to 8 guests in four cabins, semi-planing speeds up to around 20 knots, and a displacement cruising range typically between 1,000 and 1,500 nautical miles, so it suits owners who want some range and flexibility without committing to a full displacement platform, although it lacks the depth of systems, range capability, and hands-on engineering access that define the Nordhavn.
At the top end, the Sanlorenzo 500EXP at 47m (154ft) sits in a different category altogether, and is best seen as a scaled-up alternative rather than a direct rival, as it uses a steel displacement hull, delivers a range of around 4,000 nautical miles at roughly 11 knots, and accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins, while the large aft deck is designed as a working space for tenders and equipment, so although it shares the Nordhavn’s expedition mindset, it operates at full superyacht level with the space, crew, and cost that come with it.
