Due to be delivered in 2026, V is a 25.7m expedition yacht built by Turkish shipyard AVA Yachts. Her interior design, exterior styling and naval architecture come from the drawing boards of AVA Yachts' design team.
Key Features
- Steel hull explorer yacht
- Foredeck Jacuzzi
- 5,000nm+ cruising range
- Flybridge bar and grill
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 7.5m beam and a 2.3m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 200 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the first yacht built on the Kando85 design. Launched in June 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
The 25.7m (84.3ft) V has the look of a yacht built to cross oceans rather than chase anchorages a few miles from port. Her steel hull sits high out of the water, with deep bulwarks, a tall bow and a strong sheer line that gives the yacht a planted stance. There is little attempt to disguise the fact that this is a full-displacement explorer.
Large dark-glazed windows cut into the hull sides and break up the mass of the topsides, while polished metal detailing adds some shape to an otherwise straightforward profile. The blue hull and white superstructure help reduce the visual bulk and give the yacht a sharper appearance than many explorer yachts of a similar size.
Outside, the deck layout is built around life aboard rather than marina showmanship. The aft deck combines fixed seating and a dining table above a full-width swim platform, creating a space that can shift easily between meals, lounging and water access. Wide side decks run forward to a foredeck Jacuzzi, which makes good use of a part of the yacht often left to deck gear and ground tackle.
The upper deck carries the wheelhouse forward, while the aft section provides room for a tender, a davit and a small bar area. Above that, the flybridge is given over almost entirely to guest use, with a grill, bar, sunpads and seating spread across a surprisingly generous deck for a yacht under 26m.
Interior Design
V's 160GT volume gives her the feel of a larger yacht inside. The main saloon stretches across much of the yacht's beam, with large windows on both sides bringing in plenty of daylight and keeping the sea in view whether guests are seated in the lounge or dining area.
The layout is straightforward and easy to understand. Lounge seating occupies the aft end of the saloon, while dining sits forward. There is enough separation between the two spaces for each to work independently without chopping the room into smaller compartments.
Forward of the saloon, an enclosed galley sits to port and a day head to starboard. This arrangement keeps service areas close to the main living spaces without putting them on display.
The wheelhouse occupies its own deck above and includes seating alongside the helm position. On a yacht built for long passages, this becomes one of the best seats on board, with broad views ahead and a direct link to the yacht's operation underway.
Storage is another strong point. Explorer yachts live and die by their ability to carry equipment, provisions and spare parts, and V has been designed with that reality in mind.
Accommodation
V accommodates eight guests across four cabins and carries four crew in two crew cabins.
The owner's suite sits forward on the main deck, a feature usually found on larger yachts. Large windows wrap the cabin with natural light, while the layout includes a desk, generous storage and a private bathroom. The position at the forward end of the main deck gives the suite a sense of separation from the rest of the accommodation.
Three guest cabins occupy the lower deck. A full-beam VIP takes the prime position amidships, where the yacht is widest. Large hull windows bring daylight into the cabin and help reduce the feeling of being below deck.
The remaining cabins comprise a double and a twin, with the twin able to convert into another double when needed. This gives the layout flexibility for families, couples or mixed guest groups.
Crew accommodation is located separately on the lower deck and includes two crew cabins, a crew mess, a small galley and a dedicated head. The arrangement allows owners and guests to use the yacht privately while crew move about their own areas without crossing through guest spaces.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Volvo Penta (D13) 408hp engines, motor yacht V is capable of reaching a top speed of 12 knots, and comfortably cruises at 9 knots. With her 24,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,000 nautical miles at 9 knots.
