Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement steel hull and superstructure she features a 9.65m beam and a 3.85m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 298 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

The 49.8m (163.4ft) sailing yacht Seven carries a dark, low-profile hull and long, clean deck line, while the twin-masted ketch rig defines the entire silhouette and gives the yacht a clear bluewater purpose. The steel hull and superstructure sit low against the water, and the restrained superstructure keeps visual weight down so the sails dominate the profile.

The rig itself is central to the design, with two aluminium masts set to meet Panamax height limits, so the yacht can transit the Panama Canal while still carrying a substantial sail plan. Total sail area reaches 1,320m² (14,208ft²), spread across five sails, and these are built by OneSails using VantageOne membrane construction with Dyneema SK99 and Twaron fibres, so strength, shape retention, and durability sit at the core of the setup.

Deck space stays open and practical, with working areas kept clear while guest zones sit protected within the central cockpit and aft sections. The shallow draft of 3.85m (12.6ft) allows access into anchorages that larger sailing yachts often avoid, and this links directly with the yacht’s long-range brief and global cruising capability.

A hybrid propulsion system supports the sailing platform, delivering speeds up to 15 knots while also enabling low-noise operation under power, which suits long passages and quiet anchorage use.

Interior Design

The interior of Seven focuses on natural materials and European craftsmanship, with a clear move away from synthetic finishes and toward tactile, weighty surfaces such as bronze, marble, onyx, and structured wood. The main salon uses Poliform sofas arranged for relaxed seating, while bespoke marble and bronze tables from Henge add contrast and texture.

A custom onyx bar sits as a central feature within the main living space, and its natural veining creates a strong visual focal point without the need for decorative excess. Coffee tables by Belgian artisan Benoit Viaene add another layer of hand-crafted detail, while lighting combines technical systems from Flos with sculptural fittings from Articolo, so both function and atmosphere are addressed.

Furniture from B&B Italia completes the layout, and the overall palette mixes darker timber tones with natural stone and metal accents, so the interior feels grounded and consistent throughout. The absence of synthetic finishes shapes the feel of the space, with materials chosen for texture, weight, and long-term durability.

Accommodation

Seven accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins, with a layout that supports extended cruising while keeping privacy and flexibility in mind. The owner’s suite includes a skylight, which brings natural light directly into the space and adds a clear link to the exterior environment.

The remaining guest cabins allow for both king and queen bed configurations, so the layout can adapt to different groups without structural change. Each cabin follows the same material approach as the main living areas, with natural finishes and consistent detailing.

Crew accommodation supports a team of eight, which allows for full service during long passages as well as during time at anchor.
