Design & Construction

Designed around a planing aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 9.22m beam and a 1.83m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 516 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 1999. She was delivered to her owners in March 2001.

Exterior Design

Mystique is a 46.6m (152.9ft) Feadship motor yacht, delivered in 2001 with exterior design and naval architecture by De Voogt. She is built in aluminium and presents a low, elongated profile, with a strong horizontal emphasis created by continuous dark glazing bands across the superstructure.

The bow is fine and slightly flared, leading into a long foredeck that remains largely uncluttered, while the superstructure rises in soft, stepped layers. The glazing forms a near-continuous ribbon along the main and upper decks, visually lowering the profile and contrasting with the white hull and superstructure. Below, a line of circular portholes runs along the hull, evenly spaced and set just above the waterline.

Deck spaces are arranged with clear transitions between levels. The main deck aft connects directly to the interior saloon, with an alfresco dining area positioned close to the sliding doors, while steps lead down to a water-level beach club area and up to the upper deck.

The upper deck aft is arranged as a secondary lounge space with built-in seating, set under the overhang of the sun deck above, while maintaining open views aft. Forward on this level, the profile tightens toward the wheelhouse, maintaining the yacht’s streamlined look.

The sun deck is arranged with a Jacuzzi positioned aft, surrounded by open deck space, while forward there is a secondary helm station with fixed seating. Above, the mast structure carries radar domes and communication equipment in a compact cluster, keeping the overall silhouette clean.

The overall design reads as controlled and linear, with long glazing bands, a low superstructure height, and minimal visual breaks across the profile.

Interior Design

The interior, designed by John Munford, uses gloss woods and leather finishes combined with neutral soft furnishings, creating a layered but restrained look.

On the main deck, the saloon is arranged with multiple sofas and loose chairs grouped into a central seating area, while a sit-up bar is positioned aft, close to the exterior doors. Forward, a formal dining area for up to 10 guests can be enclosed for privacy, separating it from the main living space when required.

Large windows run the length of the saloon, aligning with the exterior glazing bands, so natural light remains consistent across the space.

The upper deck provides a more relaxed lounge, arranged with two sofas and a desk facing outward, using the elevated position to take advantage of wider views.

Interior circulation remains direct, with deck-to-deck connections aligned to exterior access points, so movement between interior and exterior spaces is straightforward.

Accommodation

Mystique accommodates up to 12 guests in 5 cabins, with additional accommodation for 8 crew.

The main deck owner’s suite is positioned forward and spans the full beam, fitted with a king bed and a large en suite bathroom with both a central shower and bathtub.

On the lower deck, a full-beam VIP suite provides a second large cabin, while the remaining guest cabins complete the five-cabin layout, all with en suite bathrooms.

Performance & Capabilities

Mystique is powered by a combined propulsion system consisting of twin MTU diesel engines and a Vericor TF-50 Lycoming gas turbine, producing a total of 12,900hp.

This setup allows for a top speed of 35 knots, which is notably high for a yacht of this size, while cruising speed is around 14 knots. With her 42,900 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,253 nautical miles at an economic speed of 14 knots.

Amenities

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Mystique also features an inviting spread of sunpads and deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
