Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 13.61m beam and a 3.7m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 2,623 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in June 2026 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Milky Way is one of the most architecturally restrained Feadships of recent years. Designed by Studio De Voogt, the 89m (292ft) yacht relies on scale and disciplined geometry.
Milky Way has an extraordinary long bow. Feadship developed the yacht with a deliberately extended foredeck that pushes much of the internal volume and guest accommodation aft. In profile, this creates a striking balance between the near-vertical bow and the layered superstructure rising from the centre of the yacht. The effect is almost minimalist, with long uninterrupted surfaces and very few visual distractions.
Four substantial deck levels are stacked above the hull, but generous overhangs and continuous bands of dark glazing prevent the superstructure from appearing heavy. The decks seem to float above one another, with the glazing visually separating each layer and creating a lighter appearance for an 80m plus superyacht.
The owner's brief becomes clear aft, where a 16.7m (54.8ft) by 3m (9.8ft) swimming pool runs across the main deck. At more than 50m² (538ft²), it is closer to a proper swimming pool than the plunge pools found aboard most superyachts.
Interior Design
Milky Way's interior was created by British studio RWD, whose brief was to develop spaces that complement the disciplined exterior architecture while introducing softer forms and a more relaxed atmosphere. The design centres on flowing lines and creating a cohesive spatial experience throughout the owner and guest areas.
