Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and superstructure she features a 19m beam and a 4.7m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 3,921 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
The 87.9m (288.4ft) L Symphony yacht began life as an offshore supply vessel, and that origin still defines her exterior during this conversion phase at Stahlbau Nord in Bremerhaven. Her profile is upright and functional, with a near-vertical bow, high freeboard, and a beam of 19m (62.3ft), all shaped around offshore stability.
The hull is finished in a dark tone below with a lighter superstructure above, and large flat surfaces dominate the design. Rows of square and rectangular windows cut into the superstructure, while long horizontal bands of glazing begin to introduce a more yacht-like feel as the rebuild progresses.
Forward, the bridge sits high with wraparound glazing, supported by heavy-duty mast structures and communication domes. The upper decks step aft in layers, which creates usable outdoor space while retaining the vessel’s original working proportions. Toward the stern, the wide deck areas reflect her supply vessel roots, designed to carry equipment and now being reworked for leisure use.
