The 30.48m motor yacht Chindon was delivered to her owners in 2017 by American shipyard Ocean Alexander. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Evan K Marshall, while Ocean Alexander is responsible for her naval architecture.

Design & Construction
Designed around a modified v-hull fiberglass hull and a GRP superstructure she features a 7.01m beam and a 1.96m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 193 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the sixth yacht built on the 100 Skylounge design. She was completed at Ocean Alexander's Kaohsiung yard in Taiwan where she was commissioned and delivered to her owners.
Exterior Design
Chindon is a 30.5m (100ft) Ocean Alexander 100 Skylounge, and the first thing that stands out is the height carried through the superstructure, which gives the yacht a clear three-deck presence without pushing into full tri-deck territory. The skylounge sits fully enclosed above the main deck, so the profile stacks cleanly, while the long bands of dark glazing cut through that height and keep the look balanced.
The main deck windows run almost full length, made possible by reinforced framing, so the exterior reads as glass-heavy without losing structure. This also changes how the yacht feels from the outside, with fewer visual breaks and a stronger horizontal line.
The skylounge opens aft onto a working bridge deck that doubles as a social space, with a wet bar, grill, and seating set out in the open. It works as an extension of the enclosed lounge, so the upper level shifts between interior and exterior use depending on conditions.
Forward, a Portuguese bridge wraps the wheelhouse, giving protected access along the sides and leading to a bow seating area with sunpads and a table. The bulwarks run high, so movement forward feels secure even underway.
The main aft deck is set up for dining, with a large table and fixed seating under cover, while the swim platform sits low and wide at the stern for water access. A hydraulic davit on the bridge deck handles a tender up to 4.6m (15ft), keeping the main deck clear.
Interior Design
The main saloon sits between long window runs, so the space stays bright through the day, while the furniture layout splits naturally into two zones, with lounge seating aft and dining forward.
The finish leans toward a warm, modern look, with high-gloss timber and lighter soft furnishings used to keep the space from feeling heavy despite the size. There is enough structure in the joinery to define each area, but the overall feel stays open.
Above, the skylounge adds a second interior living space, fully enclosed and climate controlled, so it works as an alternative saloon, a quiet retreat, or a helm-focused lounge when underway. The position also changes the view, giving a higher vantage point across the water.
Accommodation
Chindon accommodates up to 8 guests in 4 cabins, with space for 4 crew.
The owner’s cabin sits full beam on the lower deck, with the width of the hull used to create a central bed, storage, and a private en suite. The VIP cabin is forward, also well proportioned, while a double cabin and a twin cabin complete the layout.
Each guest cabin is en suite, so privacy is consistent across the accommodation.
Crew quarters are arranged separately for four, with direct access to service areas and the galley, so operations can run without crossing into guest spaces.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by 1 x diesel MTU (12V2000) 1,920hp engines, motor yacht Chindon is capable of reaching a top speed of 25 knots, and comfortably cruises at 16 knots. With her 15,142 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 2,100 nautical miles.
