Key Features

  • Forward-facing sundeck jacuzzi
  • Two al fresco dining areas
  • 11,600nm transoceanic range
  • Grand 478GT interior volume

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8.2m beam and a 3m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 478 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the second yacht built on the 44 Explorer design. Launched in May 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in May 2022.

Exterior Design

Baron Trenck II is a 43.5m (142.7ft) explorer yacht that reflects Eurocraft's roots in commercial-grade steel construction. Built with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, she combines the reassuring presence of a long-range expedition vessel with the cleaner lines expected of a modern superyacht.

The profile is defined by a high bow, strong sheerline and substantial freeboard, all of which point to her intended role as an ocean-going yacht rather than a coastal cruiser. Large expanses of glazing break up the mass of the superstructure and help soften what is otherwise a purposeful design. A Portuguese bridge wraps around the wheelhouse, a feature more commonly associated with serious passagemakers and expedition yachts built for rough-water operation.

Outdoor living remains a key part of the design despite the explorer brief. The sundeck serves as the main social hub, with a forward-facing jacuzzi surrounded by sunpads, while a dining area aft takes advantage of elevated views. A second alfresco dining space on the upper deck gives owners flexibility when entertaining larger groups or cruising in different climates.

Baron Trenck II is the second yacht in Eurocraft's 44 Explorer series and follows the original Baron Trenck, which reportedly logged more than 60,000 nautical miles during eleven years of operation. That real-world track record helped validate the concept behind the series before the second hull entered the market.

Unlike many explorer yachts that exceed 500GT, Eurocraft engineered the 44 Explorer platform to remain below that threshold at 478GT. The result is a yacht that delivers the volume and capability associated with larger vessels while avoiding some of the regulatory burdens that come with crossing the 500GT mark.

Interior Design

T

Eurocraft handled the interior design in-house, creating a contemporary scheme built around dark timber finishes, rich marble surfaces and flowing architectural forms.

The main saloon makes full use of the yacht's 478GT volume. Two large C-shaped sofas face one another across matching marble-topped coffee tables, creating a central social area that feels open and well suited to extended cruising. A light timber inlay runs through the flooring and draws the eye forward towards a bespoke dining table designed for ten guests.

Curved detailing appears throughout the interior, softening the darker material palette and helping balance the substantial volume of the yacht. The result feels contemporary without chasing short-lived design trends.

Large windows bring natural light deep into the accommodation spaces, while the broad beam and full-displacement hull provide the proportions needed for generous room sizes throughout the yacht.

Accommodation

Baron Trenck II accommodates up to 12 guests in six cabins and carries up to nine crew.

The owner's suite occupies a prime position forward on the main deck, where elevated views and separation from guest accommodation provide a greater sense of privacy. The suite benefits from the full width available in this section of the yacht and forms the centrepiece of the accommodation plan.

The remaining guest cabins are arranged on the lower deck and include a large VIP suite alongside additional double guest cabins. The six-cabin layout allows the yacht to host extended family groups or charter parties without compromising comfort.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel MTU (12V 2000 M60) 2,000hp engines, motor yacht Baron Trenck II is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 105,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 7,200 nautical miles at 10 knots.

Outdoor dining options on Baron Trenck II make every meal memorable.
